Biography
During the War of Shadows
During the War of Shadows, Minerva was coerced into serving the Dolhr Empire as Maria was their warden; as such, Palla and her sisters had to oblige as well for Maria's safety.[1]

During Minerva's trip back to her base in Aurelis, Palla and her sisters accompanied her. Along the way, they encountered deserters from Macedon's army there terrorizing villagers led by Ruben. In response, Palla followed Minerva's order and went back to the castle to mobilize reinforcements to help subdue the rebellion. Palla did as such, giving victory to Minerva.
Later in 604 AC,[a] the Whitewinged Order was deployed in the Lefcandith Valley. Soon after the Archanean League arrived, Minerva ordered for the group to retreat. Palla and her sisters were separated from Minerva sometime afterwards, since Dolhr feared a potential rebellion from them.[5]
During the same year, Marth and Archanean League managed to rescue Maria and recruit both her and Minerva into their ranks. Because of this, Palla and Catria met with Marth later in Gra in a wish to serve Minerva again, joining the League.[1] During this time, Palla supposably developed feelings towards Abel.[b] Palla remained with the army to the war's end. Following its conclusion, she diligently worked in Macedon's restoration in spite of her own feelings.[6]
In Valentia

After the War of Shadows, Est was kidnapped by pirates and taken to Valentia. Palla and Catria gave chase to rescue her. In Pegastym 401 V.C.,[c] the two battled at a Zofian coast with Grieth's pirates and realized Grieth kidnapped their sister.[14]

During the battle, the two received reinforcements from Celica's army there and subsequently joined Celica at Zofia Harbor in a common goal to reach Grieth's citadel.[14] After defeating Grieth there, Palla and Catria reunited with Est in the same year. Afterwards, the sisters proceeded with fighting under Celica up to the end of the conflict in Valentia, and returned to Archanea once it concluded.
Macedonian uprising
Around 607 AC,[15] Macedon was currently undergoing a rebellion that opposed Minerva's rule led by Lykke. Amidst the ensuing chaos, Palla and Catria managed to escape.[16] The two joined with the Altean army in order to rescue Minerva who was captured. Palla met the group at the Macedon Mountain Ramparts and there they managed to suppress Lykke and the remaining resistance.
During the War of Heroes
Palla remained with Marth's group thereafter, fighting with it during the War of Heroes up to its conclusion. Afterwards, she persevered in her work while continuing to hide her feelings.[17]
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light
Role
Palla and the Whitewings were deployed to the skirmish of Lefcandith Valley under Harmein, but pulled out after Minerva refused to comply with Harmein's questionable tactics. Some time afterward, she and the other Whitewings had been scattered on different deployments to attempt to avert the possibility of defection; nonetheless, upon hearing of Maria's rescue and Minerva's alliance with Marth, Palla planned to join with them again.
In the battle for Gra, much to the disgust of King Jiol, Palla and Catria were deployed to assist Jiol in repelling Marth's army; instead, the two approached Marth and rejoined Minerva in his army.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.
Palla is one of the best units in the game, joining early with good bases at promotion level, and having good growths in most stats. While her speed growth is rather low, she starts 4 points away from capping the stat. Her weapon level of 12 means that she will be able to use all lances (when mounted) and swords (when dismounted) in the game at base.
The secret shop in Chapter 5 sells Skydrake Whips, which will be able to promote Palla into a Dracoknight as soon as one is obtained, allowing her to move 10 tiles unhindered by terrain in outdoor chapters. While she is weak to bows, Iote's Shield can be obtained in her join chapter to mitigate said weakness.
Fire Emblem: Archanea Saga
Role
She, Minerva and Est formed a temporary truce with Prince Hardin of Aurelis and his knights, in order to work together to suppress an insurrection from Macedonian deserters which threatened the lives of Aurelian villagers.
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
Role
Palla and the Whitewings are deployed to the skirmish of Lefcandith Valley under Harmein. When Minerva is defeated, Palla and her sisters leave the battlefield. Some time afterward, she and the other Whitewings are scattered on different deployments to avert the possibility of defection; nonetheless, upon hearing of Maria's rescue and Minerva's alliance with Marth, Palla planned to join with them again.
In the battle for Gra, much to the disgust of King Jiol, Palla and Catria were deployed to assist Jiol in repelling Marth's army; instead, the two approached Marth and rejoined Minerva in his army. When the war is over, she works with Minerva to restore Macedon to get her mind off her conflicted romantic feelings.
At any point, Palla can have conversations with Minerva and Est once she is recruited.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.
Palla joins the army in Chapter 14 of Shadow Dragon as a level 8 Pegasus Knight. Her base stats are good and her high lance level allows her to use Dragonpikes and Ridersbanes. Her speed growth is quite low, but her speed base is high, so she will still avoid getting doubled by most enemies even in higher difficulties, improving her survivability; however, enemy bow users will one-shot Palla in higher difficulties. She is a good user of the Dragonpike in her inventory, and can also use the Silver Lance.
Palla requires two levels to promote. Many units compete for Master Seals, but Palla is among the better candidates for promotion as Dracoknight is among the best promoted classes in the game. Palla has a stronger start than Catria, with a higher base lance rank, a higher level by three, and higher her base stats. However, Catria's speed growth is significantly better than Palla's, making Catria more likely to one-round enemies later in the game.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.
Palla joins at chapter 3 of New Mystery, where at that point she will most likely be among your strongest units. She comes with excellent bases in all areas besides magic, and she also has excellent growths in strength, HP and skill, but low growths in all other areas; however, considering her incredible bases, her low growths are quite a minor flaw and can be easily fixed with stat boosters. She also comes with a B rank in lances, allowing her to use almost any lance in the game, making her early game combat unparalleled. Despite not having the full access to all gender classes unlike the male characters, she still has very diverse reclass options such as cavalier, myrmidon and archer, all of which can allow her to be useful on practically every map in the game. She can also avoid being locked to E rank weapons in the aforementioned classes by promoting in her joining chapter, as she comes at level 10. Her only flaw is that because of her somewhat low growths in areas such as speed, she won't have the same endgame potential of units such as Kris or Catria, but her contributions through most of the game are not to be undermined, and this small flaw can easily be fixed by giving her statboosting items such as speedwings.
Overall Palla is an invaluable unit; where most pegasus knights are fairly frail and weak, Palla is instead incredibly bulky and strong when most of your other units are still somewhat weak, making her undoubtably one of the best units in the game and extremely useful on every difficulty.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.
Palla joins alongside her sister Catria at the beginning of Act 3 on Celica's side. Being at level 8, she only requires four levels to reach promotion. She has good strength, which is further increased by the Javelin she joins with. She also has better physical durability than her sisters, and her growths reflect that, with a high strength growth and a good defense growth. She also has a high skill growth, but she's surprisingly slow for a Pegasus Knight, suffering from a low speed growth, and her resistance is also low for her class, so she can't tank magic well. Her ability to fly is incredibly useful due to the high amount of terrain, allowing her to engage enemies quicker than anyone else. However, it's hard for her to capitalize on this theoretical massive advantage as she has poor matchups into many of the common enemies found on Celica's side, such as Snipers, Arcanists, and Myrmidons. Myrmidons are an especially unfortunate weakness, as they're a unit that Leon also struggles against, so Palla has worse synergy with him than those who can face off against Myrmidons. Palla's performance significantly improves after promotion due to a boost to her durability and a passive +10 damage against terrors. Her experience gain is also very slow due to her high level, so it will take a while for her to promote without investment.
As she is relatively close to promotion, it is possible to get Palla to promotion before the desert maps by giving her a level at the Skirmish outside of the Mountain Village, backtracking to Seabound Shrine, and giving her both EXP fountains and the Golden Apple from the Pirate Throne. She can also be given a forged Silver Lance to significantly boost her damage output. However, even with Falcon Knight bases, she still has issues, as they manly address HP and defense: due to her surprisingly low speed, she struggles to deal with bow users or Arcanists and gets doubled by enemy Myrmidons, and her weakness to bows will still cause her to take significant damage. While her performance with this investment isn't terrible, it is worse than what units like Mae and Saber can do with it.
Overall, Palla's ability to fly over terrain makes her a useful unit for Celica's terrain-dense maps for her ability to move around more freely than anyone else. However, her combat stats are unimpressive without significant investment, and the investment needed to make her good at combat can be given to other strong units to make them even better.

Personality
As the eldest sister of the three Whitewings, Palla is mild-mannered and down to earth, always caring about her sisters. She has strong relationships with both of them, and although she tends towards reprimanding Est most often, she still cares deeply for her, taking on something of a motherly role among the three sisters.[18] She is devoted to Minerva,[19] both as a commander and as a friend. She is largely pragmatic,[20] and a skilled tactician.[21] Nevertheless, she does feel her emotions strongly, but mostly prefers not to let them show.[22]
