Miloah (Japanese: ミロア Miroa) was a student at Khadein; one of Gotoh's best disciples there.[1] Later, he was a pontifex of Archanea prior to the War of Shadows.[a] He is known as the "Master of Aura" (Japanese: 大司教 Archbishop) as one of the three great magi of the continent.[5][6]
Biography
In youth, Miloah traveled to Khadein amongst other Archanean noble youths to learn magic after Gotoh denied teaching it within the capital.[7] Both him along with Gharnef became Gotoh's best pupils,[1] and Gotoh had chosen Miloah to inherit both the Aura tome and Khadein itself.[8]
Despite his ascension as Khadein's leader, Miloah was known to have returned to Saint Archanea where he became its pontifex and defended the nation with the Aura spell.[4] Miloah also became the senior mage of the magic academy in the capital[9] that Gotoh rejected;[7] the royal palace was also where he raised his daughter,[10] Linde, and taught her magic as her sole teacher.[11]
During the War of Shadows, the Dolhr Empire invaded Saint Archanea's capital around 602 AC.[12] Miloah brought forth mages to defend the city against Dolhr's forces,[9] but they fell before the mage army of Khadein led by Gharnef.[9] Miloah was ultimately murdered by Gharnef; he protected Linde prior to his death,[9] and left behind his Aura tome for her to inherit.[13]
