Delthea (Japanese: デューテ Dyute) is a mage appearing in Fire Emblem Gaiden and its 3DS remake. She is Luthier's younger sister and very skilled in magic for her young age, but she stubbornly refuses to practice with it and would rather live as an ordinary girl.

Analysis
| This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Delthea joins rather late, near the end of Act 3 on Alm's route, underleveled at level 3. Her stats are a mixed bag: on the one hand her attack and speed are both solid and will quickly improve due to her high growth rates in both stats. However, her durability is poor when she joins and stays low as she levels up. She does possess a very high resistance stat of 15, the second highest in the game. She joins with the ability to use Aura, further complimenting her high attack, however, it also drains her already low HP, putting her at risk of dying in one hit, and is very heavy. She's also the only character aside of Celica that can use Ragnarok, the strongest spell in the game, but it's the heaviest spell and has the worst HP reduction upon use. Her other spells take a long time to reach without significant training (especially Rewarp), though Seraphim does make her good against Fiends in Act 5.
Dethea's main niche is fighting enemy Knights and Barons. Due to her high attack, she will be capable of dealing massive damage or even one-rounding them, something most other units will struggle with. Even when compared to other mages Delthea stands out as other mages either need Sagittae and the Speed Ring or an Excalibur crit to one-round enemy Knights, the former limited by only one Speed Ring being available without DLC grinding and the latter having questionable reliability. However, her poor durability means she will struggle to take on more than one Knight per enemy phase. Her promotion helps her take more hits, but it takes her a long time to reach it, and even then her gaining access to swords means that she will hit on defense so she will need a strong sword like a Rapier to make up the difference.
Overall, Delthea is a glass cannon with an unimpressive but not terrible start and high potential stat-wise. Unfortunately, she is hindered by the limitations of the Mage class, the main ones being a late promotion and poor movement, which diminishes her long-term potential. As a result, she is mostly limited in usefulness against enemy Knights, Barons, and magic users, and while she is good against them she is far from the only unit who can help against them.

- Main article:
Delthea/Heroes
There are three different variations of Delthea available in Heroes.
Personality
Delthea is confident without fail and has faith in her natural talents. She is easygoing, but lazy, and likes to show off in battle.[2] Delthea is blunt and dislikes keeping secrets, but is also easy to manipulate.[3] Her brother Luthier is concerned about how laid-back she is, thinking she should be more serious about developing her magical abilities; however, whenever he voices this concern, Delthea dismisses it. She hates being criticized, because she thinks she is better than everyone else and whoever criticizes her seeks to put her down.[4] In her opinion, her natural talent is a gift she should be allowed to flaunt, and nobody has the right to complain that she is superior to others.
Delthea is defined by her stubbornness and insistence on getting her way. She is childish in many ways, befitting her young age, and can be quite careless as well. Her confidence, honesty, immaturity, and magical potential combined could make her a danger to others, which is exploited by Tatarrah when he brainwashes her to fight against Alm's party. Delthea does not like to admit it, but she is still inexperienced.
Despite her confidence and propensity for showcasing her magical abilities, Delthea is unwilling to turn developing her talents into her life's purpose.[5] Despite being born in a village, she would prefer to live in a city and marry someone there.[6]
Luthier pressures Delthea to excel as a mage, but her desires stand in conflict with that, making Delthea argue with him. She seldom says nice things about Luthier, both to him directly and to others, showing that she has many problems with how he treats her. Delthea is fond of Clive, noting that he is "cultured" and "dashing," believing him to be the opposite of her brother. Despite her young age, she is interested in people outside of her village, and would like to change her environment. Being with Luthier and only ever doing magic-related things wears her out, hence her desire to know more about what she is unfamiliar with.[7] While Delthea does not hate her brother, she wants to achieve more and change things in her life; she dislikes it when she is limited in any way.[8]
