Analysis

This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience.

Etie joins as an archer, allowing her to shoot down the numerous fliers in her join chapter in one hit. However, after Chapter 4, there are no more fliers (except one in Paralogue 1) until Chapter 7, at which point Alcryst joins, who has better stats than a base level Etie. As with most early game Engage units she has low base stats and will need a decent amount of investment to get promoted by the time the Solm arc prepromotes join, and will have issues keeping pace with them.

Etie's main selling point is her high strength 40% personal strength growth, which is one of the most desirable stats to specialize in. Her durability and speed are problematic but the former can be alleviated with tools like Bonded Shield and the latter with Speed+ inherited from Lyn. Trained Etie is a good user of Lyn's emblem due to her high strength, though she is far from irreplaceable in her role. She is better as a Warrior than a Sniper or Bow Knight (outside of Astra Storming from longer range), as it has better strength and durability in exchange for lower dex, which can be easily fixed with engraves. Having innate Bow Proficiency allows her to use a Silver Bow as a Warrior, which is a useful trait if not entirely game-changing. Her magic will be terrible, however, so she will not be a particularly good user of the Radiant Bow.

Etie's personal skill grants her a +2 strength buff for a turn when she uses a healing item. This is nearly useless before she promotes, and even after is niche, as it only works if she is danced or is attacking on enemy phase.

Besides serving Firene with her own strength, Etie bulked up its soldiers with a regimen of weight training and muscle stimulants.
Some said this was at odds with the nation's pacifist ethos, but it was celebrated in her hometown, where to this day, orange flowers are grown in her honor.

Divine Dragon Alear & Fitness Fighter Etie
Alear became the new Divine Dragon Monarch. His/Her bonds with the rulers of each nation resulted in lasting peace.
Etie frequently planted flowers to help restore Lythos. She and the Divine Dragon Monarch were often seen happily spending time in the flower fields.
