The Wind Tribe (Japanese: 風の部族 Wind Tribe) is a nation of Hoshido located north of the duchy of Izumo and south of Fort Jinya; they inhabit a desert where harsh winds blow often. Its ruled by an elected[citation needed] chieftain, a trait shared with the Flame Tribe in Hoshido and Ice Tribe in Nohr. Fuga is the cheftain during the events of Fire Emblem Fates.

Plot

In Birthright Chapter 8 and Revelation Chapter 9, Corrin's army climbs the Eternal Stairway to reach Izumo, but skirmish with Wind Tribalists disguised as Faceless by Iago; they later fight Fuga and the Wind Tribe to prove their innocence. Once victorious, Fuga accepts their innocence, and informs Corrin of some of the Yato's history; he additionally offers the services of Hayato.

In Conquest Chapter 20, Corrin's army passes through the Wind Tribe's village and meet with Fuga, who teaches Corrin some of the Yato's history—it is prophesized to save the world in the right hands or doom it in the wrong. Fuga offers a battle to test Corrin's worthiness; Corrin's force is victorious, and Fuga is satisfied that they are worthy. Fuga escorts Corrin's army to the Eternal Stairway, which they ascend to reach Shirasagi. Along the stairway, during Chapter 21, they are attacked by a seemingly endless horde of Faceless sent by Iago. Lilith is killed protecting Corrin before the army escapes the horde and exits the stairway.
