Oates (Japanese: オーツ Oates) is a soldier of Bern and the leader of a band charged with purloining Forblaze in the name of Bern, and the boss of chapter 14x of Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. Oates was tasked with obtaining Forblaze before Roy and his army could get to it, but could not solve the puzzle of the altar (last touched after Forblaze was used in a great battle twenty years prior, by its original wielder in his final battle) and was ultimately defeated.
