Cine Ropponica

Cine Ropponica (JA: シネ・ロッポニカ, and known onscreen as Ropponica) was a label operated by Nikkatsu Corporation, founded on July 1, 1988. It was formed to convert their declining series of pink films, Roman X, and Roman Porno cinemas into a more general-used label, but would be phased out after a few years. The cinemas still continue to operate until 2008, when many of them closed down. Their on-screen logo has been known to only been used on four movies so far.

Visuals: A blue background cuts in as orange lightning flashes across the screen, flashing white at certain points. After 3 seconds of lightning, the letters of the word "ROPPONICA" slide in from all sides of the screen: "R" from the left, the 2 "O"'s from the top, "PP" and "NI" from the bottom, and "CA" from the right. They come in with a trail of 5 copies each, each one disappearing when they reach their location, and they expose a muted rainbow gradient background in a rectangular shape. After the trails disappear, the letters fade back in, this time in light blue, and a diagonal dash/dot pattern wipe in with the same gradient, extending through the "O"'s, and then fade to light blue exclamation points within said letters as it shines. The logo then fades to a pink tint, then to a bronze coat, and then it zooms in. After a few seconds, it cuts to production credits in white: "配給 シネ・ロッポニカ" and "製作 にっかつ", with the latter being represented by a Nikkatsu print logo.
Variants:
- On Revolver, the lightning is cut out.
- On My Deer Friend, the logo shines after zooming in, no longer cutting to production credits.
Technique: Cel animation.
Audio: The music has 2 distinct sections: An intense 7-note bass tune, followed by an soft upbeat piano tune with added percussion and string plucks.
Audio Variants:
- On Megalopolis Expressway Trial, the percussion in the theme is removed.
- On Revolver, a different, more perky synth fanfare is heard, ending with a 4-note piano jingle.
- On My Deer Friend, stock thunder sounds play at the start, followed by an dramatic synth fanfare (likely stock music).
