The Unlock (Japanese: アンロック Unlock) is a rare staff in the Fire Emblem series introduced in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem. It can be used to open any door, and in Thracia 776, any chest. It generally has a low weapon level, allowing almost any staff user to wield it; however, in New Mystery of the Emblem it has a higher weapon level requirement, and in Thracia 776 it is exclusive to Tina.

Trivia

  • Nyna can be heard casting Unlock in the original broadcast of Episode I from Fire Emblem: Archanea Saga, despite it not appearing in gameplay.[1]
    • The dialogue from Nyna and the narrator in that scene also claim Unlock can open chests, but prior in Mystery of the Emblem, it could only open doors; the Thief staff was used for chests in Mystery of the Emblem instead. Despite this, Unlock would gain the ability to open chests later in Thracia 776.
