The Basic EQ parameters differ from other EQ models.

Basic EQ parameters

  • Low/Int knob: Set the gain of a low shelving filter (or scale the intensity of model formants).

  • Mid/Shift knob: Set the gain of a peak filter (or shift the formants logarithmically). This is sweepable—see “Mid Frequency/Fine Structure slider” below.

  • High/Stretch knob: Set the gain of a high shelving filter (or stretch the formant frequencies, relative to each other).

  • Mid Frequency/Fine Structure slider: Sweep the center frequency of the mid band between 100 Hz and 10 kHz (or enhance the spectral (harmonic) structure).

Adjust the Basic EQ (Lo Mid Hi model) graphically

In Logic Pro, do any of the following:

  • To control the Low parameter: Drag the left third of the graphic vertically.

  • To control the Mid parameter: Drag the center third of the graphic vertically.

  • To control the Mid Frequency parameter: Drag the center third of the graphic horizontally.

  • To control the Hi parameter: Drag the right third of the graphic vertically.
