Consolidate project assets in Logic Pro for Mac

Using the Consolidate command, you can select different asset types currently stored outside of your project and have them “consolidated,” which means that they are copied to the Media folder inside the project. This includes audio files; audio data from Sampler, Alchemy, or Ultrabeat; Space Designer impulse responses; video files; and Sound Library content such as Apple Loops. This ensures that if you move or copy the project to another computer, or archive the project for later use, the assets remain with the project and are accessible.

Note: You can also ensure that project assets are included with the project by choosing File > Project Settings > Assets and selecting the checkboxes of the asset types to include.

Consolidate external assets into a project

  1. In Logic Pro, choose File > Project Management > Consolidate (or use the Consolidate Project key command).

    Figure. Consolidate Project dialog.
  2. Select the checkboxes for the asset types you want to copy into the project, then click OK.

Note: When you consolidate project assets, the assets used by any alternative of the current project are copied into the project.
