Global HTTP Proxy device management payload settings for Apple devices
Use the Global HTTP Proxy payload to specify a proxy for all HTTP traffic to and from an iPhone, iPad, Shared iPad, Mac, or Apple TV that enrolls in a device management service.
If you choose Manual proxy type, you need the proxy server address—including its port and optionally a user name and password—for logging in to the proxy server. If you choose Auto proxy type, you can enter a proxy auto-config (PAC) URL.
The Global HTTP Proxy payload supports the following. For more information, see Payload information.
Supported payload identifier: com.apple.proxy.http.global
Supported operating systems and channels: iOS, iPadOS, Shared iPad device, macOS device, tvOS.
Supported enrollment methods: Automated Device Enrollment.
Duplicates allowed: False—only one Global HTTP Proxy payload can be delivered to a device.
You can use the settings in the table below with the Global HTTP Proxy payload.

Allow direct connection if PAC is unreachable | The device bypasses the proxy server if the PAC file is unreachable. | No |
Allow bypassing proxy to access captive networks | The device ignores proxy settings to display the login page for captive networks. | No |
