Staunch Shield (Japanese: 主君の盾 Lord's shield) is an ability which debuted in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. The personal ability of Dedue, it grants the user increased defense if they take no action other than waiting. It returns in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes as the Unique Support Ability of Dedue and slightly fills his Warrior Gauge while guarding, with Perfect Guards resulting in a bigger increase.
