Adjust automation points on the automation track and in regions in Logic Pro for Mac

In Logic Pro for Mac, you can adjust individual automation points and MIDI data points on the automation track and in regions to adjust their values or their position on the timeline.

Adjust automation points

With Logic Pro in automation mode, do either of the following:

  • Drag an automation point up or down to change its value.

  • Drag an automation point left or right to move it to a different point in the timeline. Use the ruler to align automation points with a beat or measure.

Adjust MIDI values in region automation

  1. With Logic Pro in automation mode, and a MIDI data parameter showing in the Automation Parameter pop-up menu, select a MIDI value.

  2. Drag up or down to change the MIDI value or drag left or right to move it to a different point in the timeline.

Note: You can change the format of displayed MIDI values in the Display MIDI Data As pop-up menu in the General View settings.
