SysEx events in Logic Pro for Mac
System exclusive data (SysEx) is unique to individual MIDI devices. You can record these events by using the dump utilities of your synthesizers, which let you save patch information, or other data, outside the MIDI device (in a project or MIDI file).
You can choose whether SysEx data is displayed in the Status column in hexadecimal or decimal format. You can view SysEx data as ASCII characters in the Length/Info column.

In Logic Pro, choose View > SysEx in Hex Format.

In Logic Pro, click the Additional Info button.
The SysEx message is displayed in the Length/Info column. SysEx and EOX status bytes are represented by Ⓢ and Ⓔ, respectively.
Edit SysEx Data
WARNING: Editing SysEx events requires a thorough understanding of the data format used by the MIDI device. Incorrect edits can lead to the corruption, or loss, of sound or other data.
In Logic Pro, select a SysEx event in the event list.
Click the Additional Info button to view the SysEx message.
Click in either the Status column or the Length/Info column to open a text field.
When you’re done editing the data, press Return.
