Set the Sampler LFO rate in Logic Pro for Mac
LFOs, particularly when you use them monophonically, are well suited for creating rhythmic modulation effects—effects that retain perfect synchronicity even during project tempo changes. You will find that the triangle waveform is most suitable for adding vibrato to a sound, and when using an LFO as a modulation source for other LFOs. You are, of course, free to use any LFO waveform. Use the Rate parameter to set the respective LFO to run freely at any speed, or synchronized with the project tempo when the Sync button is enabled.
Set a free LFO rate
In Logic Pro Sampler, click the Modulators button in the Navigation bar to view the Modulators pane.
In the LFO you want to use, make sure the Sync button is turned off, then drag the Rate field vertically or the Waveform display horizontally to set a value.
The rate is displayed in hertz.
Synchronize the LFO rate with the Logic Pro tempo
In the LFO you want to use, make sure the Sync button is turned on, then drag the Rate field vertically or the Waveform display horizontally to set a value.
The rate is displayed in rhythmic values. Synchronized rates range from speeds of 1/128th triplets to a periodic duration of 32 bars. Punctuated values are also available.
