Set the bounce range in Logic Pro for Mac

By default, when you bounce a project (by choosing File > Bounce > Project), the entire project from start to end is bounced. You can bounce only part of a project by setting the bounce range before performing a bounce. There are several ways to set the bounce range.

Set the bounce range

In Logic Pro, do one of the following:

  • Turn on Cycle mode. When Cycle mode is on, the bounce range matches the locator positions.

Figure. Cycle mode on, showing cycle area in the ruler.
  • Select one or more regions in the Tracks area. The bounce range matches the selected area.

  • In the Bounce dialog, adjust the Start and End positions. When you open the Bounce dialog, the Start and End positions match the bounce range (or the length of the project, if no regions are selected and Cycle mode is off).
