Steps to reproduce

test.ps1

[CmdletBinding()]param(
     [string]$p1,
     [string]$p2,
    [Parameter(ValueFromPipeline)][string]$InputObject
)
process{
    $input.replace($p1, $p2)
}

Run the following from CMD:

echo hello world | powershell -f test.ps1 e E
hEllo world
echo hello world | powershell -f test.ps1 e -
CRA$H@#*
echo hello world | powershell -f test.ps1 e "-"
CRA$H@#*

CRA$H@#* = PowerShell crashes
