I had already studied some python so it wasnt too difficult. However for a complete beginner I wonder if the ramp up might be too much.

Pretty good as a starting point. I generally didn't need to consult with the AI or external resources given that most things are provided here, the sole exception was at the end with dictionaries but I chalk it up to me taking a small break before tackling it so I sort of ruined my sprint :p. I recommend taking on the challenges!
