Emp is a penguin enemy from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is first encountered in Stage 1 of Aqua Star and yields the Ice Copy Ability when swallowed. When it spots Kirby, it will attempt to slide away on its belly, but it can only slide so far. Emp also appears on the 67th Enemy Info Card.
Given the animal that Emps are based on, it is likely that their name comes from a species of penguin known as Emperor Penguins.
Emp was also planned to be included as a selectable pattern in Kirby Family, a canceled application for the Game Boy Color that would send a pattern to a sewing machine for it to make.
