Grand Theft Auto: Forelli Redemption

Go To

  • Awesome Music: Forelli Redemption has a new selection of music for the existing radio stations that fit with the game's setting, like "Fly Away" by Lenny Kravitz on Head Radio or "I'm A Slave 4 U" by Britney Spears on Lips 106, feeling like extensions of the original GTA III stations. Plus, there's a new radio station called Retrovision, which plays classic rock music from artists like The Doors, Dire Straits and Pink Floyd.
  • Genius Programming: While total conversion mods for GTA games are nothing new on PC, making such a large scale mod for the PlayStation 2 version of GTA III is unheard of. Despite the console's limitations, Barcode Studia made an impressive effort of porting their mod to the PS2.
  • That One Level: The penultimate story mission, "Patterns Cross", is considered to be the worst mission in the mod. It involves driving all around the city looking for Claude, stealing a van guarded by heavily-armed Yakuza in Shoreside Vale, driving it to Berkley, then driving back to Giorgio in Portland, then fighting off the Yakuza in the tunnel below Sal's mansion, before finally confronting Claude and killing him at the Portland Rock. While there is a checkpoint halfway through the mission, it doesn't make the already long mission any less tedious. GTA speedrunner EnglishBen argued that this mission should've been split into two missions.
