IT'S TIME FOR THE is an object show created by Derpadon (Race For The Keys). The show consists of 10 contestants battling for "the", which is apparently a bulbous render of a tiger head. However, there may be more to the show than meets the eye...

IT'S TIME FOR THE TROPES

• Animate Inanimate Object: Standard criteria for an object show.
• Audience Participation: Like many object shows before it, the losing contestants of each challenge are put up for elimination, and viewers may vote for the contestant they would like to remain on the show after each episode.
• Blinded by the Sun: At [2:00], 57-Ball competes in a staring contest with the Sun... literally.
• Celebration Miscalculation: Justified. At [1:00], Felt Container assumes it's Polka Dot's birthday because they found a card covered in polka dots. After opening the card, they find it's intended for some guy named Lucas, as well as being exceedingly tacky.
• The Face of the Sun: One of the contestants is the sun with a face.
• The Fatalist: Star Jar tells vase that she will lose the [5:00] challenge; when Vase asks if there's a way to change the future, Star Jar insists that that's not how it works.
• Idiosyncratic Episode Naming: Every episode is labeled as a time of the day, starting at [1:00] and progressing hour-by-hour. Special episodes do not follow this pattern, namely [6:58] and the promotional episode [6:31].
• Motor Mouth: Whenever Refill Station speaks, most of the time all the pauses in their speech are removed.
• Non-Gameplay Elimination: The Sun gets eliminated at [9:00] after he goes up to the sky between episodes and doesn't return to the field.
• Once per Episode: Around the start of each episode, Wheel is usually thrown or dropped from a high place, which then transitions into the show's intro.
• Reading the Stage Directions Out Loud:
  • At [1:00], Wheel demands Clock hand over the prize for the show before the competition even starts, to which Clock responds with a Disapproving Look. Immediately after this, the relevant action line, "Stares at wheel", appears on-screen. The line is read out-of-character by Clock's voice actor, who repeats it again while laughing to themselves.
  • At [5:00], Words With Friends Tile dances on a piano that appeared from a polka dotted portal, shouting "Aw, sweet! Dances on the piano!"
• Shoehorned Acronym: Played for Laughs at "[1:00]" when Clock introduces himself.
  Clock: My name is CLOCK. Cthing Lthat Oyou Ctell Kthe Time — (breaks character) oh wait, my name is not an acronym.
• Shout-Out: A couple to Battle for Dream Island: The Power of Two:
  • Wheel tries to name his team "The Strongest Team On Earth", but it only comes out as Team Earth.
  • At [7:00], Clock announces the challenge time to the same tune as Two's Team Swap jingle.
• Show Within a Show: The titular competition is framed as just one of many television shows found amongst various fictional networks.
• Special Edition Title: Sort of a tradition, starting at [4:00].
  • [4:00]: The entire thing is underwater.
  • [5:00]: Someone sings along to the theme, using what's on the screen.
  • [6:00]: TI-30 beatboxes to the theme.
  • [7:00]: It's in a lower quality and framerate.
  • [8:00]: Green, Felt Container, Wheel, and 57 Ball use shards of Vase to break out of the opening and return back home.
• Stylistic Suck: Sometimes. Mostly with Refill Station and Clock.
• Symbol Face: A unique variation. Words with Friends Tile's face is almost always the first letter of the most prominent words in his sentence.
• Uncertain Doom: The eliminated contestants are subject to...some fate, after which they're never seen again until 8:00.
• Analog Horror: At the end of each episode, it follows a mechanical alarm clock doing his activites, it starts from being normal to being downright terrifying, especically at 9:00, where the alarm clock (implied to be Lucas Clokey), gets forcefully swept into the light in the sky by a unresponsive bus driver, with the music started from ambient to downright ominous, as the bus slowly lifts off from the ground.
