- Just like in Disventure Camp, backgrounds can be blurry and pixelated upon being zoomed-in on.
- In a scene in the premiere episode where Marcus offers to handle preparing a Bloody Mary only to refuse upon realizing he's The Alcoholic, he initially stands between Kylie and Isadore in a more zoomed-in background, only to suddenly stand next to Brad in a slightly zoomed-out version of the same background, with no transition of any kind between the different shots.
- When Seth throws the salt shaker for his team at Monica, it’s thrown in the direction of the right side of the screen. However, when it hits her in the head, the shaker comes from the right side of the screen instead of the left, making it appear that the salt shaker changed directions in the middle of the air.
- When Vijay accidentally spills salt, there's actually no salt spilt on the bar. However, he still reaches for the spilt salt to use some of it in his drink, making it appear as if he was grabbing nothing.
- When Marcus drinks some orange juice, the entire glass of it disappears while he is doing so.
- Seth's mouth doesn't move as he calls the remaining contestants "bunch of clout chasers" upon his elimination in the second episode.
- Drew's torso isn't properly connected to his chest in the second live feed

- Dueling Works:
- With Disventure Camp, a fellow ongoing Web Animation based on Total Drama from related creators. The best example of this is Reality Resort's Episode 10 premiering only half an hour after of Disventure Camp's Episode 9 of Season 2 remake (or around ten minutes after its premiere ended) on December 13th, 2025. A similar example later occured with Episode 11 of Reality Resort airing at the same hour as Episode 2 of Fans vs Favorites.
- With The Million Game Academy, another animated reality show with similar art style uploaded on YouTube, which had its premiere not long before the series's fifth episode was released.
- He Also Did: Cove, the creator of the series, was also a creator of Total Drama Next Generation series.
- The Other Darrin: Monica, Olive, and Topaz all receive new voice actresses as of the second episode:
- Monica is now voiced by Rachel Glait in place of Kenkoy (who continues to voice Victoria).

- Troubled Production: Once personal funds for the series have run out after the sixth episode, the creators were forced to announce a crowdfunding for the rest of the series. They also decided to hide suplementary material, such as trailers or live feeds (with the latter instead reuploaded as shorts), from the YouTube channel because their lower views kept hurting the algorithm.
- What Could Have Been: Originally, the first five eliminated contestants would’ve had the chance to earn more Legacy Points off-site through a mechanic called “Round-Trip Redemption” and could potentially save them for a chance to get into Reality Royalty or even use them to buy their way back into the competition. However, this mechanic was cut in order to make the Legacy Point system a bit more simple, though Cove has mentioned that it could potentially return in a future season or cycle.
- Word of Gay: Creator Cove has confirmed Charles and Vijay are gay men, Olive is bi and Topaz is a lesbian.
- You Might Remember Me from...: Several voice actors from the English and Spanish dubs of Disventure Camp, a fellow Web Animation in reality show format which The Reality Project's fandom is familiar with, are cast in this series:
