An index of tropes describing the varying ways a character cannot leave something alone. Whether it be spending too much time, money, effort, or patience; the character will not stop until they are either dead, imprisoned, or some combination thereof. Maybe not even then.

- Clock King: Time-obsessed character can always predict how long something will take down to the second.
- The Collector
- Complexity Addiction: A character is too fixated on forming convoluted plans to consider simpler solutions to their problems.
- Conspiracy Theorist: A person believes that the world is being manipulated by some secret organization and is obsessed with proving that they are right.
- Control Freak: A person that believes everything must go their way, all the way down to the littlest detail.
- Crack Is Cheaper: Feeding your obsession can prove very expensive.

- Hatred Makes You Dumb: A character is so obsessively hateful of someone that they do stupid things.
- Healthy Eating Fanatic: A character obsessed with healthy eating habits.
- Heroic Vow: Hero has one rule they will never violate, no matter what.
- Holiday Aficionado: A character who goes way overboard when celebrating the holiday.
- Hyperfixation-Induced Error: A character's hyperfixation caused them to make mistakes.
- I Gave My Word: A character promises that they will or will not do ABC. This also becomes a case of Exact Words if they have someone else do or not do ABC.
- If I Can't Have You…: A character takes rejection poorly and decides to kill the one who rejects them, so no one else can have them.

- Intrigued by Humanity: A character - largely alien - is fascinated by human culture or ideology.
- Isolation-Induced Infatuation: A character becomes obsessed with someone given that they're the only person around due to being stranded somewhere for a long time or living under a rock.
- It Must Be Mine!: A character wants it, needs it, and must get it through whatever means necessary
- I've Come Too Far: A character knows they've long passed the point of no return and invested too much in their plan to stop it now.
- Just One More Level!: A character becomes so engrossed in a video game that they won't stop playing it.
- Longing for Fictionland: A character seeks to escape the pains of their reality through the world of fiction.

- Loony Fan: A fan who won't leave the person they admire alone.
- Love the Product, Hate the Producer: A character loves the product that is produced by a producer they despise.

- Marveling at the MacGuffin: A villain that's secured the ultimate plot device can't resist the urge to obsess over it.
- Masturbation Means Sexual Frustration: A character masturbates to something that they're sexually obsessed with.
- Money Fetish: Someone has an obsession with money.
- Monster Fangirl: The baddie's biggest fan, usually a female.
- My Country, Right or Wrong: A person fights for their country, regardless of whether or not they're in the right or not.

- Obsessive Bully: A bully is obsessed with harassing one victim in particular.
- Obsessive Hobby Episode: An episode which involves a character taking up a hobby and becoming obsessed with it.

- Obsessively Normal: Conformity is harshly enforced due to an obsession with appearing normal.
- Obsessively Organized: A person who is obsessed with things being neat and orderly to the point that stuff ending up out of order or disarray is enough to drive them bonkers.
- One-Track-Minded Artist: They have one style of art, and they'll make it over and over again.
- One-Track-Minded Hunger: The character will stop at nothing to get food.

- Single-Issue Wonk: They have a passionate and immovable opinion about one thing, and once it's mentioned, they won't shut up about it.
- Single-Target Sexuality: A character who is only attracted to one specific person.
- Socially Unacceptable Collection: whether someone is seen as a harmless Collector of the Strange or a nut hoarding dangerous objects can depend on public opinion.

- Stalker Shot: A character thinks they're alone until the camera reveals they're being stalked without their knowledge.
- Stalker Shrine: A shrine the stalker devotes to their target of interest.
- Stalker with a Crush: The person stalking the character in question is in love with the person.
- Stalker with a Test Tube: Subject A is obsessed with Subject B's DNA, convinced that combining the two will create genetically ideal offspring.
- Stalker Without a Crush: The person stalking the character in question doesn't have any form of romantic desires and has other reasons for their stalking.
