Despite the setback of Jason Todd's unpopularity and the killing-off that came along with it, Denny O'Neil was not convinced to give up on the character of Robin. Thus, Tim Drake was born, and this time, the writers were careful to make him much less similar to Dick.

At age nine, Tim was able to deduce both Batman and Robin I's identities, but kept it to himself, until years later, when Dick went solo and Jason died. Realizing how deeply Jason's death had affected his idol, Batman, Tim tried to convince Dick to reprise his role as Batman's partner. Although he agreed, Dick would only do so as Nightwing, despite Tim's insistence that Batman needed a Robin.

It took multiple trials, but finally, Tim was able to gain both Bruce and Dick's respect, along with the permission to become Robin. He proved to be much more popular than Jason ever was, and was pretty much the Robin post-Dick, holding the title the longest after him and being Batman's most trusted lieutenant after Dick went solo. As Dick had before him, he featured in multiple spin-off series: he was a founding member of Young Justice and later of the next generation of Teen Titans.

Tim's character shifted in the 2000s with a long string of character deaths among the people closest to him: he became much more grim and Batman-like in his personality and his attitude towards being a superhero, no longer viewing it as something temporary. Following the Bat-Family shakeup following Batman R.I.P. and Battle For The Cowl, where he was abruptly replaced as Robin, he took up the new identity of Red Robin. Upon Bruce's return, Tim as Red Robin began operating independently in Gotham – he was a more tech-savvy hero, using the first Anarky in a sort of "Oracle" tech role.

The New 52 reboot greatly reduced Tim's involvement with the Bat-Family and set him up primarily as the leader of the Teen Titans. It also controversially rewrote a large number of aspects of Tim's backstory: the reasons for his first meeting Batman were changed, his parents were said to be alive but in witness protection, the surname "Drake" was said to be an alias, and finally he was said to have never been Robin in the new continuity but to have used the name "Red Robin" from the beginning.^note Retconned in some time after the reboot started, presumably as an attempt to address the criticism of Batman having apparently gone through four Robins in five years, despite it having no bearing on the actual issue of the timeline. These changes were reversed step-by-step over several years in the mid-to-late 2010s: the issue of his name was quietly dropped, his original meeting with Batman was restored to continuity,^note first by implication in Grayson, then explicitly in Detective Comics (2016) his time as Robin was restored as well,^note in Detective Comics (2016), via Cosmic Retcon his parents were established as dead,^note in the 2019 Batman annual and finally his pre-New-52 memories were completely restored.^note in Young Justice (2019) Since the DC Rebirth relaunch, Tim has also returned to working much more closely alongside Batman and the rest of the Bat-Family. And aside from a ten-month period where he took up "Drake" as a superhero identity before abandoning it, since 2019 he has also begun switching back and forth between the identities of Robin and Red Robin fairly arbitrarily.

Tim's father who co-founded Drake Industries with his first wife Janet.

• Adventurer Archaeologist: A hobby he shared with his wife. When he wasn't busy running Drake Industries he was on archaeological digs in South America. It's implied that's how He met Janet.
• Age-Gap Romance: Janet married Jack in her early twenties/late teens and Jack was at least ten years older than her. Tim comments that he's more than twice his second wife Dana's age.
• Alcoholic Parent: He begins Drowning His Sorrows after being attacked by the Obeah Man, losing his wife, and Drake Industries going bankrupt.
• Awkward Father-Son Bonding Activity: After his coma he tries to connect with Tim via activities like fishing.
• Character Development: He eventually becomes proud and supportive of Tim's work as Robin.
• Convenient Coma: After being poisoned by Obeah Man he ends up in a coma which, while deeply upsetting, left Tim free to pursue his activities as Robin without parental interference.
• Depending on the Artist: Jack is usually depicted with dark hair that's gone grey on the sides, but some artists give him light brown hair instead.
• Drowning My Sorrows: After being attacked by the Obeah Man, losing his wife, being (briefly) confined to a wheelchair, and Drake Industries goes bankrupt
• Face Death with Dignity: With Captain Boomerang on his way to kill him, Jack tells Tim over the phone that he loves him and not to take whatever happens as his fault.
• Give Him a Normal Life: Once he learned of Tim's activities as Robin, he threatens to expose Bruce's secret identity unless Tim drops out of the crime-fighting business immediately.
• It Runs in the Family: Jack claims that the Drake men's charm with women is hereditary.
• Jock Dad, Nerd Son: Jack and his nerdy son Tim have a lot of differences.
• Killed Off for Real: Murdered by Captain Boomerang
• Mutual Kill: At least was able to take Captain Boomerang with him.
• Parental Obliviousness: To his son's secret life as Robin.
• Parent with New Paramour: After the death of Tim's mother he starts dating and eventually marries his physical therapist Dana Winters.

• Riches to Rags: Not quite to "rags" but moving to an apartment in Gotham City proper when previously the Drakes lived in the same, rich neighborhood as Bruce Wayne is quite the leap.

Janet Lynn Drake

Jack Drake's physical therapist and later Tim's stepmother.

• Adoptive Peer Parent: Dana is not much older than Dick, something Tim does not feel comfortable about.
• Age-Gap Romance: Jack is more than twice Dana's age.
• What Happened to the Mouse?: What happened to her after the destruction of Bludhaven has never been addressed.
• Depending on the Artist: Does Dana have brown hair or blonde? Maybe she dyes it.
• Florence Nightingale Effect: Fell in love with her patient Jack Drake.
• Happily Married: She is much closer with Jack Drake than his previous wife and even mellows him out some.
• Missing Mom: Fabian Nicieza says she survived the crisis in Bludhaven but she hasn't been seen since.
• Put on a Bus: When Jack was Killed Off for Real in Identity Crisis, Dana had a nervous breakdown and was shipped off to a sanitarium in Bludhaven, a city that would soon be completely destroyed in Infinite Crisis.

Eddie Drake (Richard Beren)

Tim's uncle in Bludhaven whom he goes to live with after Jack's death and Dana's emotional breakdown. Except he's a total fabrication Tim used in order to fool Child Protective Services. He later hired a down on his luck actor named Richard Beren to play the part. Dies when Bludhaven is destroyed in crisis.

• Chew-Out Fake-Out: After losing nearly all of his biological family Tim sets up an actor to pretend to be his fake uncle so that he doesn't have to go into the foster care system. Naturally, Bruce finds out. Tim prepares for a scolding but instead is praised for taking the initiative. He even gives Tim some tips on how to make the deception foolproof.
• Paid-for Family: After Jack died Bruce offered to adopt Tim, only for a Jack's will to state his previously unheard of brother was Tim's godfather. Turns out this was orchestrated by Tim who paid an actor to act as his uncle.
• What Happened to the Mouse?: It is implied he died in the destruction of Bludhaven but if his body was ever found the reader was not informed of it.

Mrs. McIlvaine

Ariana Dzerchenko

An immigrant from communist Ukraine, she is very grateful for the freedom of expression allowed in America and hopes to become a fashion designer. She first met Tim when he stumbled upon The Mafiya beating her father. Eventually she becomes Tim’s first girlfriend, though their increasing distance due to Tim's masked life ends up with both cheating on each other.

• Attempted Rape: Experienced this in the past, leading her to have a skewed view of that aspect of relationships.
• Betty and Veronica: She's the Betty to Stephanie's Veronica, despite the hair color switch. She and Tim are dating when Tim meets Steph on the rooftops.
• Chastity Couple: When Ariana comes on to him in a very physical way, Tim rebuffs her saying they're too young to be taking that step in their relationship.
• Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Despite being his first girlfriend, Ariana was never mentioned again in later issues.
  • Averted in 2025's Valentine's Day special.
• Clingy Jealous Girl: Not that it was her fault, though. She was just a normal teenage girl who unfortunately had to be dating a guy with a secret identity.

• Long Bus Trip: After not being mentioned for a quarter of a century, she makes a surprise reappearance in the Robins story "To Live and Date in Gotham" in the 2025 DC Valentine's Day special, Lex and the City, still working at the family restaurant in Little Odessa, and apparently still Amicable Exes with Tim and willing to give Damian dating advice.
• The Masquerade Will Kill Your Dating Life: Tim canceling dates and lying to her does not help their relationship.
• Official Couple: She and Tim dated for a long chunk of the series.
• Parents Walk In at the Worst Time: Her uncle walks in shortly after she and Tim decided not to have sex after she put on lingerie and tried to seduce him. He tries to attack Tim in retaliation for taking advantage of Ariana, and Ariana ends up being transferred to an all girls school over the incident.
• Romantic Runner-Up: To Stephanie in the end, though she and Tim have both decided to end the relationship by that point and Ariana ends up being the one to break up with him.
• Snark-to-Snark Combat: With Ives.
• Sympathetic Adulterer: Ariana cheats on Tim several times, but with Tim constantly canceling or disrupting their plans to do superhero things, the least of which being doing so with Stephanie, it's hard to blame her.

Stephanie Brown (Spoiler/Robin IV/Batgirl III)

Tim's longest running Love Interest throughout his solo Robin series, Red Robin and into the present day. Stephanie smacked Robin in the face with a brick at their first meeting while she was working as Spoiler to foil her father's criminal plans. After, Tim helped her continue as a costumed crime fighter and they developed a rapport based on mutual attraction and complimentary fighting styles. Despite being forbidden by Batman from disclosing his secret identity, the two routinely met up for dates that involved some form of crime fighting and Tim created the Alvin Draper persona to interact with her in her civilian identity.

During the "War Games" storyline she attempted to enact a plan that hinged on Matches Malone without realizing Matches Malone was an alias of Batman. This resulted in her being tortured and killed by Black Mask. Later, it was revealed long time Batman ally Leslie Thompkins had faked her death and she had spent the time in Africa with Leslie working as a nurse. After returning and some upheaval caused by Batman's instructions, he eventually demands that she stop wearing the Spoiler costume and give up crimefighting. When they next meet Stephanie has transitioned into being the next Batgirl, fulfilling half of his demands. Seeing she has greatly improved her fighting abilities, Tim decides not to oppose her crimefighting any longer.

After Flashpoint, Stephanie spent some time in limbo before in an ironic twist of her previous death, being reintroduced during another gang war, although their relationship was not reintroduced along with it.

Their relationship returned in 2016 in the pages of Detective Comics during the DCRebirth. At the beginning of the 2019 Young Justice run by Brian Michael Bendis Zatanna unlocked Tim's memories of their pre-Flashpoint life, reaffirming to him that their romance crossed timelines.

A martial artist and revolutionary from the small country of Transbelvia whom Tim meets the second time he trains in Paris. Their relationship is short, but passionate.

• Badass Longcoat: Her outfit as a revolutionary comes with a black long coat.
• Fiery Redhead: Dava has red hair and can get pretty temperamental.
• Psycho Serum: Aramilla may grant the user temporary super-speed but it wrecks their ability to tell right from wrong.
• The Revolution Will Not Be Civilized: She is okay with using any and all tactics in order to fight the the oppressive regime running her country.
• Secret Art: She travels the world learning the quickest take downs from different martial arts schools, which attracts Shiva's attention.
• Sleight of Tongue: When surrounded by Tvorakovich's heavily armed men Dava grabs Tim and plants a kiss on him to share the Aramilla she had secretly taken.
• Super Serum: She takes a spice called Aramilla which gives her temporary superspeed but also dulls the user’s sense of morality.

A classmate who tutored Tim after Stephanie's "death" and Tim's transfer to another school, they eventually started dating. Naturally Tim's crime fighting began to drive a wedge between them, not helped by Steph's return to Gotham.

• Better as Friends: She and Tim become more relaxed together after they break up.
• Betty and Veronica: When Stephanie returns, Zo becomes the Betty, despite the switched hair color.
• Girl Next Door: A change from his previous relationship with a masked crimefighter.
• Girl of the Week: They were not in a relationship for long and remained friends after.
• It's Not You, It's Me: When he breaks up with her over the phone. She takes it well, all things considered.
• The Masquerade Will Kill Your Dating Life: When he breaks up with her he's not even sure she'll be that upset because he hasn't been able to make time for her and is constantly canceling their plans together.

Tamara Fox

The daughter of Lucius Fox, she was tasked by her father to find and return Tim to Gotham during Hush's attempt to take over Wayne Industries. She succeeds, just in time for the League of Assassins to embroil her in his life as Red Robin. Upon their return to Gotham, she is confronted by Vicki Vale when both arrive at Wayne Manor looking for Tim. With her inability to keep a secret, and the burgeoning feelings between the two, she blurts out that they are secretly engaged. For the rest of the series the two work together on Tim's Neon Knights initiative, with the secret engagement cover story blossoming into a proper relationship… right up until he fakes her father's assassination without telling her. After Flashpoint she disappeared from Tim's life.

• Accidental Proposal: Was forced to lie to Vicki Vale that she and Tim were engaged to escape a sticky situation. The media blew the story out of proportion the next day.
• Bad Liar: Tim notes on several occasions that Tam tends to make it really obvious when she's hiding something. This eventually does in their burgeoning relationship when he lets her think her dad was killed when Lucius' death was actually faked.
• Big Eater: Was shown to eat quiet a bit at college. Helps she doesn't have to worry about fitting into tights per her words.
• Bodyguard Crush: With Tim as the bodyguard.
• Damsel out of Distress: When surrounded by seven super assassins in a League of Assassin base, Tam took the initiative to escape on her own, even getting in a few good shots on one of them. She even saved Tim's life when he was corned via picking up his bo staff and hitting the assassin with it. She also saved Vicki Vale from an assassination attempt and worked with her to keep assassins at bay until help arrived.
• Deadpan Snarker: Had shades of this. Frequently snarked over how being with Tim has led to her getting attacked by super assassins on multiple occasions. She also called the Calculator a dweeb upon seeing him, "wow, really?" upon learning that was his alias.
• Hero for a Day: In the Unternet when Tim figured out one could one's mind to influence it, Tam used it to briefly gain powers, dubbing herself "Foxy Lady", much to Tim's amusement.
• Hidden Depths: Was shown to be quite perceptive. In her first meeting with Tim she was able to properly note how sad he seemed (which was a given due to the numerous tragedies he recently occured) and was shown to pick up on the difference in his voice as normal and as Red Robin.
• High-Powered Career Woman: Was shown to work for her father at Wayne Enterprise as an intern, being skilled in multiple languages such as Russian and German. She was also Tim's partner in his Neon Knights Foundation.
• It's Not You, It's My Enemies: One of several reasons their relationship fell apart.
• Mission Control: Served as one for Tim in Russia and was shown to be pretty competent at it.
• Official Couple: She and Tim briefly dated.
• Parental Issues: While Lucius is a loving and good father to her it was shown part of her feels Lucius is constantly keeping her in his shadow via doing things like even naming her after Thomas Waybnne.
• Put on a Bus: After Flashpoint she's been barely mentioned, even in her brothers Luke's or Jace's books.
• Rescue Romance: Their romantic interest in each other started after Tam kissed Tim following his rescue of her.
• Romantic Fake–Real Turn: They weren't really dating until sometime after they started to pretend to for the press, they then continued dating for a time after making it clear they were not actually engaged.
• Secret-Keeper: Was one of the few civilians who knows about Tim's identity as Red Robin.
• Smooch of Victory: Gave one to Tim after they both escaped the League of Assassin's base. To quote Tim "well as therapy goes...."

Bernard Dowd

A student Tim meets after his father's company, Drake Industries, goes bankrupt, forcing Tim to leave Brentwood Academy for a public school. He and Darla are the only reoccurring students of Louis E. Grieve Memorial High School during Tim's short time there. After an 18 year bus ride he was retconned into having had a deep friendship with Tim and is Promoted to Love Interest in 2021 Batman: Urban Legends.

• All Love Is Unrequited: Had a crush on Darla, who had a crush on Tim, who was in a loving relationship with Stephanie.
  • Played with in the 2021 Batman: Urban Legends where he eventually gets involved with Tim.
• Badass Normal: Following his Long Bus Trip, he is shown to be a skilled martial artist, able to fight cultists alongside Robin.
• The Casanova: At least he claims to be. Ultimately he comes off as a Casanova Wannabe. See The Friend Nobody Likes.

Bruce Wayne (Batman)

Tim's mentor, partner and adoptive father. While Bruce rejected Tim and Tim's conclusions about his needing a Robin at first he grew to trust him (as much as Batman trusts anyone) though Tim has not appreciated some of his tests of Tim and his abilities.

Dick Grayson (Robin I/Nightwing)

Tim was at the circus the night Dick's parents fell and seeing their murders and realizing what it meant for Dick impacted him greatly. He followed the story of Dick being taken in by Bruce Wayne and looked up to him as Robin. Dick was the member of the Batfamily Tim approached when he realized Batman needed help in the wake of Jason's death and they became as close as brothers before Tim was adopted by Bruce.

Cassandra Cain (Batgirl II/Blackbat)

Jason Peter Todd (Robin II/Red Hood)

The previous holder of the Robin title whose death sent Bruce into the downward spiral that caused Tim to approach the family in the first place. A great deal of Tim's tenure as Robin was shaped by the weight of Jason's death. When Jason came back he was furious at Bruce for replacing him and took it out on Tim. Jason seems to be warming up to having Tim as a little brother around the time of Bruce's death but after Tim breaks him out to view the video will section Bruce left for Jason it proves to have been so much the wrong thing to say to a person that it drives Jason to be even more angry than he was to begin with. They clash during Battle for the Cowl, and even though Tim had been winning in their fight once Jason is able to draw him into his lair his prep time allows him to nearly kill Tim, causing him to fall into a pit full of spikes, stabbing him in the chest and then blowing up the lair.

Damian Wayne (Robin V)

Tim's little brother. He is Bruce's biological son with Talia and is incredibly jealous of Tim's position as Robin so attempts to kill him in order to replace him. While the two of them are never able to really get along Damian does eventually get trying to kill him out of his system and Tim usually holds back when Damian attacks him.

Tim respects Huntress as a fellow vigilante and his ability to make friends enables them to work together and have a rapport and level of trust even though Bruce does not approve of her methods. Tim ends up as Huntress's link to the rest of the Batfamily after her rocky relationship with Dick. Once when she was drugged her subconscious shows that she wants Tim to see her as an older sister figure.

Barbara and Tim have a good working relationship being the two computer geeks of the Batfamily. Babs has mentored Tim and had Tim help her reconfigure and rebuild her computer systems in the clocktower. Barbara also remains one of the very few people Tim trusts, and while he's far less likely to let her in on his personal secrets than he is to tell Alfred he has still asked her for personal advice on things he's not shared with many.

Selina Kyle (Catwoman)

She and Tim worked together several times when he was Robin, usually when he needed help. He helped Bruce fake the death of her and her daughter ^note  whose father was Slam Bradley Jr. in an attempt to protect Helena from Selina's enemies and Selina trusts him with her daughter, he played with her while Selina asked Bruce to help get her adopted in a way that would prevent anyone from tracing Helena back to Selina.

Harold Allnut

Batman's mute in house mechanic and repairman. Tim is one of the few characters to bother remembering Harold after Harold's murder and Bruce's refusal to speak of him or give him a memorial in the cave or otherwise recognizing everything Harold did for them is one of the points of contention which leads to Tim having a much harder time trusting Bruce.

Darcy Thomas (Sparrow)

One of the members of We Are Robin, after Tim moved into his houseboat on the marina, she helped him move in and Tim began to mentor her.

• Affirmative-Action Legacy: Zig-zagged. The Sparrow alias was previously used by the white male Batman ally Ambrose Weems, but it was in the Earth-One continuity and the two characters never met.
• Animal-Themed Superbeing: Takes the alias "Sparrow", a bird name to go with Tim's Robin.
• Civvie Spandex: Her first crime fighting outfit is literally just her wearing a domino mask.
• Handicapped Badass: Darcy is hard of hearing, and wears a hearing aid, but she's still fighting crime.
• Leg Focus: Darcy is pretty much always in very short shorts, which show off the large floral tattoo she's got up her left leg. She even wears shorts as Sparrow, despite her tattoo making it unlikely she'd be able to maintain her secret identity if she ran into anyone she's ever met before.
• Remember the New Guy?: Wasn't part of the original We Are Robin characters, she was introduced in Future State as a former member and friend of Tim's, and got backported into the normal timeline.
• Suspiciously Similar Substitute: She's Robin's sidekick, filling the role Stephanie used to now that Stephanie has been Batgirl and has too much experience to be playing second fiddle to Tim.

Sebastian Ives

One of Tim's oldest friends, and his closest outside of the superhero community. They've attended several of the same schools.

• Badly Battered Babysitter: Ives gets so badly bruised after taking a job as a mascot at a Suck E. Cheese's that Tim thinks he's being abused, it turns out the injuries are from the kids and his lack of mobility in his Goofy Suit.
• Best Friend: Outside of the caped community, and prior to becoming part of it, Tim's best friend is Ives. Ives isn't aware of what exactly is taking up so much of Tim's time, and really doesn't want to know which indicates he has an idea, but is willing to ruin his other friendships sticking up for Tim and is very casual about forgiving Tim for forgetting his birthday, since he knows Tim doesn't even tend to remember his own.
• Blatant Lies: When he tells Zoanne that Stephanie is just and old friend to Tim.
• The Bus Came Back: While Ariana, Hudson and Callie Evans have not reappeared since Ariana moved and Tim changed schools Ives has. Tim even tracked him down to visit after he returned from his trip to find Bruce when Tim cut everyone out of his life.
• Deadpan Snarker:
  "Yeah I turned the big one six! Loved the card you sent be the way."
• Don't You Dare Pity Me!: The reason he trys to keep his cancer a secret, he's actually embarassed about it though he knows that is ridiculous. It's kind of hard to keep such a thing secret when your best friend is Tim Drake though.
• Fanon Discontinuity: He is not a fan of the extended universe, it gets in the way of his headcanon:
  Ives: Lando Calrissian kept the millennium falcon.
  Hudson: In the book Han and Chewbacca—
  Ives: Don't talk to me about the books. The books don't count.
• Goofy Suit: When Ives is working as the mascot at a Suck E. Cheese's.
• Jewish and Nerdy: He is a socially awkward but intelligent Jewish boy.
• Last-Name Basis: Goes by Ives.
• The Leader: While Ives points out that he does not have the temperament to lead a group facing against anything dangerous (though he does make the right call about leaving a dangerous situation and reporting to authorities several times as he gets older and more mature) it is clear that without him the friend group of Callie, Hudson, Hudman and Tim would not work and that he's the one that introduced everyone and leads their friend group. He takes charge with mediating fights, though he's not level headed enough that this doesn't sometimes exacerbate them. When he switches schools he keeps in touch with the others and its clear he's the only one the rest are still keeping up with.
• Locked Out of the Loop: Despite being one of Tim's oldest friends, he doesn't know anything about Tim's secret identity as Robin, nor does he care what it is Tim is hiding from him.
• Lovable Nerd: A defining trait of his. One of the first times he and Tim hang out outside of school they play the DC Universe equivalent of Dungeons & Dragons.
• Massive Numbered Siblings: While it is unclear how many actual siblings Ives has outside of an older sister he has this dynamic with his many cousins and sometimes would rather escape to hang out with friends.
• Muggle Best Friend: While Tim does not have any powers he is a costumed hero who has a whole second life working with superheroes, Ives is purely a civilian with no involvement in the superhero business.
• Nerd Glasses: The glasses he has when he is younger are not particularly flattering.
• Nerds Love Tough Schoolwork: With his return to public school Ives is mildly entertained by how much easier schoolwork is at public school in comparison to homeschooling but definitely doesn't consider it an improvement and thinks making things so easy is a disservice to his schoolmates even if they're having trouble with the current curriculum.
• Nice Jewish Boy: Tim knowing that Ives is Jewish is his first clue that something is up when he comes across Ives at a Catholic Church, he was there for a support group meeting regarding his cancer.
• The Nicknamer: Calls Hudson & Hudman Hudster and has a couple of names for Tim, generally only when he's annoyed with him though.
• The Pollyanna: Downplayed but he's not that worked up about having cancer saying he's got the kind you'd want if you had to get it.
• Prematurely Bald: Due to his cancer and its treatments.
• Smart People Wear Glasses: He is a glasses wearer that does really well on tests and knows a fair amount of trivia.
• Snark-to-Snark Combat: With Tim, especially when he's irritated with him. Also with Ariana with whom he regularly but amicably disagrees.
• Sudden Name Change: Tim introduces him to Zoanne as Martin Ives. Maybe it's a middle name? Ives certainly doesn't go by his first name.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Such a complaint gets him accused of being "the only middle-aged High School student in the world" by Ariana which he takes in stride.
• Undying Loyalty: Has repeatedly covered for Tim without being asked to and without knowing what Tim's actually up to or seeming to care that Tim is keeping him out of the loop. He does get a bit snarky after Tim tries to cut him out of his life but he's like that anyway.

Callie Evans

A close friend to Ives and Hudson she is one of Tim's classmates and friends at Gotham Heights. Callie is a jittery outspoken tomboy who loves basketball.

• The Big Guy: In Tim's group of civilian friends Callie Evans is the one the others turn to for protection if they think they are going into a situation where they might be attacked. At least two of her basketball teammates feel the same way, asking her assistance when confronting a football player that tried to rape a classmate.
• The Bus Came Back: For a single appearance with Ives, before she disappeared from the series forever.
• Character Tics: Callie likes to keep her hands busy often playing with a yo-yo or when she can bouncing a basketball while hanging out and talking with her friends.
• Deadpan Snarker: For instance when Tim zones out during lunch:
  Tim: uh... I guess I was thinking about something.
  Callie: Quantum physics from the look of it, Drake.
• Good-Looking Privates: She likes the way boys look in Brentwood uniforms:
  Ives: Why do you know so much about it Callie?
  Callie: Those guys are kinda cute in those blazers.
• Iconic Item: Her round rimless glasses which she keeps throughout all of her appearances.
• The Lad-ette: Callie was very obviously shaping into a Lad-ette the last two times she was seen, being slightly crude while wolfishly telling her guy friends what outfits look hot on guys, sitting in a stereotypically boyish stance with an arm slung across the back of the bench, loving basketball, chopping her bob-cut into a pixie and ditching her feminine sweaters and v-necks for t-shirts and leather jackets.
• Locked Out of the Loop: Like all of Tim's friends outside the superhero community she is unaware that he is Robin.
• Lovable Nerd: Part of the reason she gets along with Ives so well though she's less nerdy than he is.
• The Makeover: Shortly before Tim's father transferred him to Brentwood Callie cut her light brown hair into a pixie cut, dyed it orange and pierced her nose all of which combined with the way she slowly stopped slouching so much all the time helped to make her look more outgoing and confident.
• One of the Boys / Tomboy: She loves basketball and doesn't dress very femininely, in a sharp contrast to Ariana the girl she is most often seen around. Her friends note that sometimes they forget she's a girl.
• Oral Fixation: She is often chewing bubble gum and blowing bubbles outside of school.
• Rebel Relaxation: When Tim first started hanging out with Callie and Ives she was constantly slouching weather she was sitting, leaning on something or just standing or walking.

Kevin Hudman

A friend of Ives and Tim from Gotham Heights who was apparently subsumed into Hudson under later writers who seemed to forget they were separate characters.

• '90s Hair: His flat-top fade.
• Black and Nerdy: An African American movie buff, good student, and roleplayer.
• Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: He disappeared without a trace or mention after Callie was introduced.
• Closer to Earth: Not so much in relation to Tim who is often on the same page but he's usually the one breaking up arguments between Hudson and Ives. For instance when Hudson reveals he stole his father's gun Hudman knows better than to start fighting with him while he's holding it like Ives did^note though ultimately Tim was the one who diffused that situation, by grabbing Ives and Kevin and getting them out of the room. At another point when Hudson is feeling like Tim's frequent cancellations on them mean he doesn't think they're cool enough Kevin easily calms the situation down as the voice of reason before Ives' defense of his friend can get Hudson's hackles up.
• The Dividual: While Kevin and Hudson are very contrasted in terms of appearance and personality they are pretty much always joined at the hip, even when fighting and Ives gives them a joint nickname of "Hudster", which is how they're often introduced to people. This worked against Kevin when later writers attributed "Hudster" to Hudson and seemed to forget Hudman was a character at all.
• Height Angst: Incredibly understated but Hudman has a tendency to do things like stand on a higher stair, or sit in a taller chair around Ives who is at least a foot taller than him.
• Odd Couple: Kevin is the most serious, logically minded and academically gifted of Tim's friends, and is always with Hudson who is the most impulsive, emotionally driven, hot headed and least focused on his studies of Tim's friends.
• Serious Business: He is highly affronted by Tim's dislike of a violent buddy cop series, and when upon realizing Tim hasn't seen all the installations starts to go into great detail about why Tim is wrong. He's only (barely) distracted by the startling revelation that Hudson has stolen a gun.

"Hudster" Hudson

Tim's most impulsive and emotionally driven friend from Gotham Heights. Hudson was friends with Hudman and Ives prior to meeting Tim but seems to be the member least integrated into their friend group.

• Axes at School: He brings a gun to school to defend himself against the high number of gang members there. It doesn't work out for him.
• Jerk Jock: Tim privately thinks of him as "Varsity Jerk".
• Killed Off for Real: Shot by a fellow student.

A classmate of Tim's at Gotham Heights High School, he's friends with Ives and friendly with Tim though they never get to know each other very well.

• Bully Brutality: He is beaten by bullies for a while and is then murdered by a pair of them.
• Extreme Doormat: He never stands up for himself when he's being bullied and goes off with Meachum and "Stanz" on his own without argument even though he knows that at best they're going to rough him up.
• Killed Off for Real: Murdered by Mark Meachum and Josh Stanzland.
• Redheads Are Uncool: Readhead with freckles who gets relentlessly bullied.
• Shrinking Violet: Quiet and tries not to draw attention to himself, his last known words were telling bullies he knew were going to hurt him that he wouldn't run.
• Teens Are Monsters: He is murdered by his high school classmates.
• Tragic One-Shot Character: First appears in Robin #56, dies in Robin #59 and Tim very much blames himself for Phil's death since he and Ives were the last people Phil spoke to and Tim held himself back from getting in between Phill and the two who murdered him in order to protect his secret identity. He was already feeling awful about it when he thought they had just called Phill away to bully him so he was horrified to learn that Phil had been murdered.

Tim's first roomate at Brentwood who so happens to be the Rhafi (leader) of Dhabar. Formerly became friends with The General before realizing the other child was a villain who wished to use his position as his friend to start a war.

• Assassination Attempt: Someone decides that the best way to kill him would be to send a demon to do it. The demon kills his bodyguard and trashes the room but Ali is able to turn it on the one who sent it.
• Broken Pedestal: When he learns the reason he has a magic charm capable of stopping Arrakhat is because his father used to summon the demon.
• A Child Shall Lead Them: He has inherited the position as leader of his country.
• Protective Charm / Magical Accessory: He wears a charm around his neck that he received from his father which he rightly considers his best bet against Arrakhat who was summoned to kill him and has to kill five people (no more, no less) before returning to the pit.
• Qurac: His small fictional country of Dhabar is one, though it is a much more pleasant place than the trope namer which it actually neighbors and is regularly at war with.
• Reasonable Authority Figure: Does his best to avoid war regardless of what he is advised as he knows it's not good for his people to be constantly having to fight in one.

A skater girl who lives near Brentwood Academy and teaches Tim some skateboarding tricks since Tim hasn't used a board for much of anything but transportation and had never been in a half-pipe before.

• Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: She got shot when trying to convince her boyfriend to walk away from a drug deal (he died in the confrontation) and is never seen again after being released from the hospital.
• Cool Big Sis: To her little brother Tito.
• Delinquent Hair: She keeps it very short bleached white on top and dyed black underneath.
• Hollywood Genetics: Her family has noticeable Filipino or Latino heritage and they've all got brown eyes while hers are grey or blue.
• Only One Name: Only known as Star without a last name revealed.
• Tattoo as Character Type: A small tribal tattoo on her arm and another wrapping around her waist are used as a visual shorthand to indicate she's a rebel.

• Cain and Abel: He claims to be the Abel to his brother's Cain.
• A Child Shall Lead Them: He is brought in against his will to be the new leader of Kobra.
• Conjoined Twins: The reason for his impressive scar is that is is left from being separated from his brother.
• Every Scar Has a Story: His very prominent scar on his side and the tattoo on his foot are the things that tip Tim off that there's more to Danny than he's telling.
• Powered Armor: Acquires a set after completing the ceremony to become the new leader of Kobra.
• Scannable Man: He has a barcode tattoo on his foot.

Crystal Brown

She is an ER nurse at West Mercy Hospital and mother of Tim's longest term love interest Stephanie Brown.

• Boyish Short Hair: It's much less a hassle to care for that way.
• Depending on the Artist: Is she a gaunt brunette who looks like she's in her late 50s, a plump brunette or a thin blonde?
• Descent into Addiction: She became addicted to prescription pills long before the Tim met Stephanie due to her unhappy home life.
• Labcoat of Science and Medicine: Once she deals with her addiction she is often seen wearing one even outside of work, indicating that she's about to leave for work or just got off.
• Locked Out of the Loop / Secret Secret-Keeper: She's not completely unaware of her daughters crimefighting though Stephanie tries to keep her in the dark and especially about her time as Batgirl.
• Parental Neglect: While she is suffering with her addiction prior to her recovery, she needs Stephanie to take care of her, but afterward, she does everything she can to be a better mother.
• Secret-Keeper: She knows Stephanie is Spoiler and keeps her secret.
• Smart People Wear Glasses: A nurse who wears glasses.
• Sudden Name Change: Was named "Agnes" when she originally appeared in Detective Comics, but her name was later changed to "Crystal." According to Scott Beatty (who was the first to rename her), he had asked DC editors about the name of the mother but no one could remember, leading to an accidental name change that stuck.

• The Commissioner Gordon: Acts as this for Red Robin.
• Fair Cop: She is quite good looking and reasonable about accepting and working with non-traditional police aid.
• Friend on the Force: For Red Robin.
• Heroic Lineage: Jim Harper was both a costumed hero and a policeman.
• Interspecies Romance: She was dating "Mon-El" (Lar Gand) before he disappeared into the Phantom Zone and is pregnant with his child.

Sheriff Shotgun Smith

Considered "the toughest cop in Gotham" before Harvey Bullock took that role Smith was kicked out of the G.C.P.D. on corruption charges when Gordon was the only person on the force to speak up in his defense. Smith returned to law enforcement as a county sheriff. He and his deputy Cissy Chambers did some work with Tim while Tim was Robin.

• Alliterative Name: Sheriff Steven "Shotgun" Smith.
• The Commissioner Gordon: For Robin Tim in the sheriff's department.
• Cowboy Cop: Part of the reason no one but Gordon stood up for him when he was charged with corruption, another part would be that he was one of the few cops who wasn't in the mob's pockets.
• Iconic Item: His strange hat with it upturned forward brim (which he seems to own in tan and blue).
• Jerk with a Heart of Gold: His reputation as a Cowboy Cop was not wholly unwarranted but he is also a loving father to his daughter and is willing to work with Tim to catch criminals and protect civilians and his deputies.
• Red Baron: "Shotgun" Smith.
• Shotguns Are Just Better: There's a reason he picked up that moniker.

Deputy Chambers

A Gotham County Sheriff's Deputy who works alongside Shotgun Smith. They work well together and she balances out Smith's brashness.

• Ambiguously Brown: Sometimes she looks like she is of Indian, or Hispanic, or African American decent but mostly it's all just unknown.
• Deadpan Snarker: She often responds to Smith's brashness with sarcasm.
• Fair Cop: She fits being both good looking and a good deputy.
• Shotguns Are Just Better: While she is always shown carrying a revolver she tends to use a shotgun more, probably a side effect of being Shotgun Smith's deputy.

PI Jason Bard

A Private Investigator friend of Kirk Langstrom whom Tim approached when trying to find someone who had the serum the Langstroms had developed to turn themselves back into humans. Tim ends up asking him to investigate things in order to put more information into files to give to the police, especially Detective Harper. He finds the hours the Bats keep to be really annoying since it means they generally visit him at night when he’d prefer to be sleeping. He dated and was engaged to Barbara though Barbara called it off and Langstrom was once his partner at his Private Investigator business.

• Abusive Parents: His father, who killed his mother. Before his history was retconned Jason learned criminology upon his return from Vietnam in order to bring his dad to justice.
• Amicable Exes: With Barbara Gordon. They were engaged at one point, but she broke it off after her injury during The Killing Joke. They only reconnected years later during Birds of Prey. Jason still considers her The One That Got Away, but knows that Barbara considers him an Old Flame Fizzle and is willing to ignore his feelings for the sake of their professional relationship.
• Bad Guy Bar: He goes to Finnigan's to learn about corrupt cops, he's not entirely welcome there but they don't kick him out. It's a cop bar, but this is Gotham where most of the police are horribly corrupt.
• Blind Mistake: When Robin sneaks into his office while Jason is temporarily blind he knows someone's in the room and pulls his gun on the door when asking for whoever is there to reveal themselves since he knows they're there. Tim's behind him having come through the window.
• Cane Fu: He uses his cane as a weapon when opponents get to close for his gun to be practical. He prefers his gun though.
• Career-Ending Injury: His knee injury either got him discharged from the army or post-retcon forced him to retire from the GCPD. He was able to build his private practice afterwards but is stuck using a cane for the rest of his life.
• The Casanova: Very downplayed but he tends to find women to share his bed with in between committed relationships.
• Great Detective: Batman and Tim Drake, one of whom is the worlds greatest detective and the other of whom is expected to surpass the former, hire him to look into things they don't have the time to be able to and eventually Batman hires him permanently to keep an eye on things during the day.
• Handicapped Badass: He has to use a cane after his knee was injured and was temporarily blinded at the point in time where Tim asked for his help with Langstrom.
• The Mole: When using the fake ID Reed Montel.
• The Nicknamer: Calls Robin (Tim) Redbird.
• Private Detective: He is a PI.
• Temporary Blindness: He is suffering from this when Tim borrows the Langstroms' serum from him due to an encounter with a villain in Birds of Prey when he was trying to save Black Canary. He adapts to it fairly well before multiple surgeries and medical procedures restore his sight.
• The Vietnam Vet: He fought and was injured in Vietnam before his history was altered to having been a GCPD officer who was shot by Killer Moth.

Current wearer of the Suit of Souls and a vigilante who protects a small section of Gotham when not dealing with larger magical threats he and Tim do not always agree on how things should be done but they are able to work together and trust each other despite their differences in tactics and Tim feels comfortable calling on him for aid even though Ragman "creeps him out". Member of Shadowpact.

• Clothes Make the Maniac: He once started loosing control to the dammed souls in the suit.
• Clothes Make the Superman: The Suit of Souls.
• Creepy Good: He even creeps out his allies.
• Dark Is Not Evil: He is wearing a suit of dammed souls and can steal the souls of the living turning them into empty husks but he is one of the good guys.
• Detect Evil: He can sense evil souls.
• Dreaming of Things to Come: He has vague precognitive dreams which don't contain enough information for him to use them in order to decide how to prevent or otherwise react to them.
• Hearing Voices: Those of the dead.
• Horrifying Hero: His suit turns him into one.
• I'm Having Soul Pains: Acquiring the memories of people's deaths is not always very comfortable.
• In a Single Bound: He can jump really high.
• I See Dead People: More that he can speak with them and see their memories.
• Legacy Character: In universe the suit (and its former forms) have been passed down since 1812 BC and his father wore it before him.
• Living Clothes: The Suit of Souls.
• Magnetic Medium: When wearing the suit.
• Power Floats: His suit allows him to levitate.
• Psychic Powers: As well as access to the memories of the souls inside the suit and the dying memories of others if in contact with the clothes they were wearing when they died before the memories fade he has vague precognitive dreams which don't contain enough information for him to learn anything from them.
• Psychometry: He can see events from late in someone's life including their deaths by touching the clothes they were wearing when they died.
• Religious Bruiser: The suit was specifically built to help protect Jewish communities.
• Super-Toughness: His suit gives him improved durability.
• Telepathy: He can form a limited mental connection with the population of the neighborhood he is protecting over time.
• Teleportation: His suit allows him to teleport and can also teleport him itself if it senses the situation is hopeless or that he is required elsewhere.
• Weak to Fire: The suit as a failsafe built in by the Rabbis who created it.
• Your Soul Is Mine!: He can steal souls and leave the person's body an Empty Shell.

MoneySpider

Lonnie Machin

The first Anarky, Lonnie assists Red Robin as mission control after being chemically paralyzed. Whether he intends to continue in this role once he regains his mobility is a question he has avoided answering though he has come to care about Tim as a friend despite their many differences in opinion. He and Tim are also uncertain that Lonnie can have a full recovery after what was done to him and while he regains the ability to move his arms he is uncoordinated and had not shown any signs of being able to walk again by the time the series ended.

Prudence Wood

A member of the League of Assassins tasked with assassinating Tim, after her teams failure they are assigned to help him on his quest and she eventually finds that her loyalties have shifted from the Demon Head.

• Bald Head of Toughness: She's completely bald and she's pretty tough, as shown by surviving getting her throat slashed.
• Collared by Fashion: When not in tactical gear.
• Defeat Means Friendship: After failing to assassinate Tim she Z and Owen are assigned to him as help to her irritation. It's more defeat means temporary servitude than friendship, though Owen seems to take to Tim rather quickly.
• Fire-Forged Friends: With Tim.
• Guns Akimbo: Always enters fights with a gun in each hand.
• Heel–Face Turn: When she is sent to assassinate Stephanie Brown she instead defects and informs Tim of the coming attack on Batman's allies and family.
• Ironic Name: Tim even lampshades it.
• The Speechless: For a period after having her throat slit.
• Spikes of Villainy: What appears to be her favorite jacket is purple leather with spikes along the shoulders.
• Suddenly Shouting / NO INDOOR VOICE: Prior to having her throat slit she's mostly a combination of these if Z or Owens isn't stopping her.
• Token Evil Teammate: Formerly of the League of Assassins, though she abstains from using lethal force for Tim's sake. Perhaps not really formerly as she's willing to report on Tim to Ra's even after she's betrayed the League of Assassins.

A detective with the Gotham City Police Department who first meets Tim when both are looking into Bernard Dowd's kidnapping by the pain cult.

• Fair Cop: The artstyle in Urban Legends at least renders Detective Williams looking like an attractive man.
• Friend on the Force: To Tim, coming when Robin calls to investigate crime scenes and trusting his judgement over his bosses, as well as calling on Robin to handle a situation when he thought the GCPD would just shoot the perpetrators.
• Police Brutality: Worries that calling the rest of the GCPD on some civilians committing crimes will result in the civilians getting shot when they don't need to be, so he calls Robin in to handle it.
• Straight Gay: He's a detective with the GCPD who gives no outward signs of any sexuality, but he's married to a man, and quips to Robin that he's not Robin's "fairy gayfather".

Matthew and Hilary Armstrong

• Adorably Precocious Child: They have some Children Are Innocent morality and sociability, but living with a violent psychopath also gives them an insightful and uneasy Seen It All quality, talking about his involvement in violent crimes, fights with superheroes, and tendency to booby trap their house and emotionally manipulate their mother.
• And There Was Much Rejoicing: They tend to show hopefulness (or at least relief), whenever their brother gets arrested or otherwise taken away from the family for a while.

• Depending on the Artist: Their hair colors and whether Matthew looks older or younger than Ulysses can vary from one story to another.
• Heroes Love Dogs: They adore family dog Binky, while Ulysses once nearly sacrifices him to Roman gods.

The Cluemaster

Criminal ex-husband of Crystal Brown and father of Stephanie Brown. He is one of Arkham's "success" stories, though this just made him a more dangerous and difficult to catch criminal.

Czonka

Baffler / The Headbanger (Titus Samuel Czonka)

A particularly stupid criminal who wants the attention the themed supervillians get.

• Bald of Evil: He's bald and a bad guy, albeit not a very evil one.
• I Just Want to Be Special: His primary motivation is to rise above ordinariness.
• The Load: To Cluemaster and Electrocutioner.
• Secondary-Color Nemesis: Has worn a green shirt and later orange pants when he became the Baffler.
• Spanner in the Works: His insistence on trying to be a themed super villain and leaving clues without alerting his allies allows Spoiler and Robin to thwart the plans he is working on with the Cluemaster.
• Stupid Crooks: He's a criminal who wants to be feared and respected, but he's not very bright. The only reason he once captured Spoiler and Robin was due to dumb luck. And even then he knocked himself unconscious while monologuing, forcing Tim and Stephanie to save themselves and Czonka from a collapsing building.

Ulysses Hadrian Armstrong

First appearance: Detective Comics #654

A young boy with an unhealthy obsession with warfare. Ulysses started out as a Batman foe before becoming more and more fixated on Tim after Tim began thwarting his plans.

• Age Lift: The New 52 ages him up so that he's a teenager when he first runs afoul of the Bat-Family, probably to make his age more comparable to Red Robin's.
• Arch-Enemy: A contender for this during Tim's first run. During his Red Robin series, he returns in deliberate attempt to invoke this. In the current continuity the two haven't previously met and Ulysses is so far more of a general Bat villain, but he's designed as an Evil Counterpart to Tim and in-universe he both admits that Red Robin is a major inspiration for him. Later, Tim appears to die thwarting a major attack that was orchestrated by Ulysses, though killing Tim wasn't specifically the purpose of the attack.
• Cardboard Prison: Of a sort. He often manipulates adults into helping him, which leads to them taking the brunt of the blame when he gets caught, which leads to him being let out of juvenile hall early.
• The Dragon: DC Rebirth reinvents Ulysses as the teen prodigy Mission Control of a rogue military unit. He's never anything but absolutely loyal, but while his boss does have principles and does only what he thinks he has to do, Ulysses repeatedly shows himself to be more sociopathic - caring more about results through force, no matter how many eggs get broken.
• Enfante Terrible: This kid is even younger than Tim, but is a nasty piece of work capable of some truly horrible things, not the least of which include armed robbery and outright murder.
• Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Despite being a psychopath who treats them like crap and terrifies them into submission, Ulysses legitimately loves his family - when he accidentally kills his younger siblings in an attempt to hurt Robin, he blames Robin and goes ballistic.
• Evil Counterpart: Rebirth establishes him as one - being a Gadgeteer Genius Mission Control for a group of villains and master of Hollywood Hacking to counter Tim's own highlighted hacking skills and chessmaster tendencies, and the two are established as being each other's equivalent on their respective teams. They even have several hacker duels, one of which appears to result in Tim's death.
• Evil Genius: Albeit one that's a lot more childish than he would like to admit.
• Evil Is Not a Toy: Teams up with Toyman in order to pull off a heist, not realizing that Toyman hates kids, is plotting to kill him, and that his own obnoxious behavior isn't helping things any.
• Manipulative Bastard: Everyone but Robin, his father and his younger siblings assumes he's just a weird kid going through a phase, which allows him to manipulate everyone around him. Even so, he prefers to seek out the mentally unstable and manipulate them into working for him instead.
• Meaningful Name: Ulysses Hadrian Armstrong, named after famous generals throughout history.
• Pragmatic Villainy: He usually avoids using lethal boobytraps in his own home. This is less out of consideration for his parents and siblings than out of a need to retain his mother's idealized view of him so she won't stop indulging his Troubling Unchildlike Behavior. This is demonstrated when his younger sister shows Robin a door with a skull-and-crossbones warning sign.
  Robin: Think he means it?
  Hilary Armstrong: Ulyssess is full of it.
  Robin He's also a homicidal maniac.
  Hilary Armstrong But not in the house. Mom's a neat freak. And she's the last one he's got on his side.
• Save the Villain: When Robin learns he’s thrown in with the Toyman, he’s more concerned with saving the General’s life than foiling their burglary.
• Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Even outside of his hobbies, which include manipulating criminals to go on rampages and gang wars, stealing from eccentric billionaires and attempting to kick off international incidents For the Evulz, he also unnerves his siblings, tortures their pets and destroys their toys.
• Unlimited Wardrobe: Unlike most comic book villains, he doesn't have a consistent costume as such — instead he dresses in various historical generals' uniforms (e.g. George S. Patton in the image above), and usually changes into another once or twice per appearance. He’ll sometimes even wear these uniforms at home when playing with his toy soldiers.
• Villain Decay: Zig-zagged. His debut story (facing down Batman in Detective Comics) played his threat deadly straight, with a Gang War plot that wouldn't have looked out of place in a Punisher arc; most of his subsequent appearances in Robin played him more for laughs (including a habit of dressing in military gear centuries out of date) and lower body-counts... until his big return during Fabian Nicieza's run.
• Villain Team-Up: Teamed with the Toyman to steal a one-of-a-kind toy soldier from a wealthy collector; Robin shows up just in time to see the partnership dissolve when Toyman pulls a gun on Ulysses, demanding he hand the figure over (and fully intending to pull the trigger even if he did give it to him willingly).
• War for Fun and Profit: Ulysses is obsessed with war and idolizes warlords and generals throughout history, believing that it's the only worthwhile aspect of human history.

Jaeger

Amsel Reiniger

A German mercenary and career poacher Tim first meets when Jaeger is hunting Kirk Langstrom (Man-Bat), Francine Langstrom, and their children. He also stars in snuff films wherein he kills monsters which is why he was hunting the Langstroms and why he later tried to hunt down Charaxes. Tim ends up butting heads with him repeatedly.

• Bounty Hunter: He can be hired for hunts of monsters, and humans.
• Clingy Costume: His mask is surgically attached to his face and cannot be removed.
• Dreadlock Warrior: A warrior who wears his hair in dreadlocks.
• Evil Poacher: He even hunts down things with a human consciousness and humans who have been deformed into looking like monsters.
• Funetik Aksent: His German accent is spelled out.
• Goggles Do Something Unusual: A targeting Heads-Up Display.
• Guns Akimbo: Usually has a gun in each hand.
• Hunter of Monsters: He does not care if they are a threat to humans or not, he's Only in It for the Money not for any attempt to protect humanity.
• Hunting the Most Dangerous Game: For his snuff films, though generally only when the people in question have been deformed to the point of looking like monsters.
• Last of His Kind: Likes to hunt things which are, and is considered to have caused the extinction of multiple species. Videos of such "hunts" apparently sell well on the Black Market in the DCU.
• Multiple Identity IDs: To avoid being caught as he's on multiple wanted lists, one such ID is Dieter Hohenzollren.
• Recurring Character: Recurring villain throughout the Robin series.
• Red Herring: When Bruce decides to test Tim on his sixteenth birthday Tim first thinks Jaeger may be the culprit.
• Scarily Competent Tracker: With the aid of technology like drones and such.
• Snuff Film: He stars in a series of them where he kills "monsters".
• Stationary Wings: They're part of some kind of glider-like apparatus he wears when hunting prey that can fly or when working as a mercenary.
• Surveillance Drone: He deploys them to help him track his prey and to record his kills.
• Two First Names: Inverted. "Amsel" is the German word for blackbird, which isn't used as a given name, but is used as a surname. Therefore Jaeger has Two Last Names. In the real world, using surnames as first names is not a thing in Germany.

An Egyptian assassin hired to kill Robin twice, and Tim once.

• Arm Cannon: Her armor has wrist mounted firearms and a rocket launcher mounted on her forearm.
• Armored Villains, Unarmored Heroes: There is kevlar and other protective elements in Tim's Robin and Red Robin suits she's wearing a full suit of powered armor.
• Clothes Make the Superman: Her power armor is a large part of why she is a legitimate threat.
• Cool Helmet: It enforces the bug theme of her assassin name.
• Hired Guns: She can be hired for non-assassination work, even paid to only use non-lethal rounds but she prefers things to be more straightforward.
• Murder, Inc.: She is part of the Covenant of Ka, a group of killers for hire using powered body armor based out of Cairo.
• Powered Armor: She wears a set of high tech battle armor.
• Recurring Character: Recurring villain through the later part of the Robin series and into Red Robin.

A student Tim meets after his father's company goes bankrupt, forcing Tim to leave Brentwood Academy for a public school. She and Bernard are the only reoccurring students of Louis E. Grieve Memorial High School during Tim's short time there. The daughter of mafia boss Henry Aquista, Darla became interested in Tim after seeing that he was willing to risk embarrassment for a friend and pursues him despite Tim informing her he had a girlfriend. She eventually backed off when she saw his reaction to forcefully kissing him. All this changes when she is killed during Batman: War Games and is brought back by Johnny Warlock as his "daughter". She then goes about using her powers to go full Yandere on Tim, not even knowing he's Robin.

• All Love Is Unrequited: Crushes on Tim who is in a loving relationship with Stephanie, while oblivious to the crush Bernard has on her.
• Came Back Strong: After being shot during the gang war and revived by Johnny Warlock using her father's life, she comes back with magical powers.
• Came Back Wrong: what she claims happened. Her death and resurrection changed her, and she blames her more murderous traits on it to gain sympathy from Tim. She expressed an interest in being involved in the shady aspects of her father's work before being killed, though.
• Daddy's Little Villain: Played With. While her name implies she is one, she's not the biological daughter of Johnny Warlock. At the same time, she was already interested in getting involved in her father's line of "work".
• Easily Forgiven: After destroying Bernard's car and threatening him for answers they go out for coffee. His big crush on her probably helped.
• Forced Kiss: Takes an opportunity to plant a big kiss on Tim in front of the whole school. It doesn't go the way she hoped.
• Heel–Face Turn: Makes one after being rehabilitated the Shadowpact.
• Loves My Alter Ego: Inverted. She loves Tim but has no idea he's Robin.
• Mafia Princess: Prior to her death she was the daughter of a Mafia boss. Although Henry tried to keep her separate from his business dealings she showed repeatedly that she was interested in getting involved.
• Not Good with Rejection: Her reaction to Tim having moved without leaving an address for her while she was dead is to rip apart the car one of Tim's friends is in and threaten to kill him if he doesn't tell her where Tim has gone. She also straight up refuses to acknowledge that Tim has made it clear they're not dating and he doesn't plan on dating her at any point in the future.
• Single Woman Seeks Good Man: The reason she's interested in Tim is because he's a Nice Guy.
• Villainous Crush: After returning from the dead as Warlock's Daughter her crush on Tim goes into overdrive, using her new powers to force him closer to her. Even by the time she always in Shadowpact she still thinks he's her boyfriend.
• Yandere: She responds to Superboy interrupting her "date" with Tim by blasting him several blocks away. The blow actually still has Conner limping by the time Tim manages to slip away and track him down.

Shen Chi

The braggart grandson of the "Rahul Lama", a Parisian martial arts master who was training Tim before being killed by Shiva, Shen is not a straight up villain but remains an antagonist. While his grandfather was teaching Tim meditation and healing arts Shen was instructing Tim on the basics of their fighting style.

• Obsolete Mentor: When Tim meets him a second time Shen tries attacking him thinking that with his incomplete training he will be easy to take out but Tim proves instantaneously that he has far surpassed Shen's martial arts abilities.
• Recurring Character: Tim seems to run into Shen every time he's in Paris, the only exception being when he had a trip there cut short by the League of Assassins blowing up his hotel room.
• Too Dumb to Live: While by some miracle it doesn't actually get him killed he links himself to the branches of Chinese organized crime in Paris and brags to the Master of the Iron Hand's face when asked why he deserves martial arts training. The later gets him knocked out and tossed in an alley.

Johnny Warlock

Jonathan "Johnny" Warren

An enforcer for Henry Aquista in the Gotham mob who lost his hand in his first encounter with Robin before escaping and becoming prey to a magical item the gave him new powers. He quickly and forcefully move up through the ranks of the underworld until he was eventually defeated and imprisoned by Shadowpact.

• An Arm and a Leg: Robin tossed sealing gel onto Johnny's drawn gun. Johnny still pulled the trigger.
• Bludgeoned to Death: Delivered by Robin when he breaks Spoiler's leg.
• Career-Ending Injury: He freaks out over the loss of his hand saying that he's useless without it.
• Good Thing You Can Heal: After Johnny breaks Spoiler's leg, Robin beats him to death. This actually tears Tim up inside, unaware that the demonic energy powering Johnny allows him to get better.
• Life Drinker: Part of his powers and how he refuels them.
• Matricide: It's implied he actually liked his mom before his demonic possession forces him to to drain her life force. But if this upset Johnny he gets over it quickly off panel.
• Powers via Possession: He gains powers after stabbing a demon into his chest.
• Torture Technician: Johnny is a mob enforcer whose job includes torturing people, not necessarily to get answers but to send a message. This is by far his favorite part of the job and he once tortured a woman for a day while waiting for her boyfriend to maybe show up even though she had nothing to do with the stolen object his boss wanted.

Rising Sun Archer

A Japanese assassin who uses archery to avoid being overheard in places where gunfire will draw law enforcement or other unwanted attention. She was hired by Penguin to take out Robin after Robin and Batgirl started to threaten the Penguin's new Bludhaven holdings and plans.

• Affirmative-Action Legacy: The previous Rising Sun Archer was a man.
• Know When to Fold 'Em: When she knows she's been outmaneuvered she'd rather surrender or flee than continue fighting if that's an option.
• Legacy Character: She's descended from the first Rising Sun Archer, who was a Japanese assassin in WWII.
• Long-Range Fighter: When Tim manages to get in close she's completely outclassed as a close range fighter and they both know it.
• Professional Killer: She is an assassin for hire.
• The Straight and Arrow Path: Lisa is a young assassin who uses a bow because of its quieter nature as opposed to a firearm since she often works in busy cities and doesn't want to draw attention.

Dark Rider II

Dark Rider came to Bludhaven to collect on the bounty Penguin had placed on Robin. It's unknown why his host is in the city, though it's possible poor Stan was just dragged there one night while the Rider had possession of his body.

• Demonic Possession: Stan thinks he just has a sleep disorder when instead the mystical entity the Dark Rider has been possessing him at night and making money as a magical assassin in Stan's body.
• Evil Is Hammy: Dark Rider is fond of making loud extravagant proclamations.
• Explaining Your Power to the Enemy: The only thing Tim likes about fighting Dark Rider is his habit of indignantly shouting out tips for defeating him:
  Base Child! You've unhorsed me! Causing my shadow mount to fade! I won't be able to summon another until tomorrow's nightfall!
• Hellish Horse: Stan's shadow mount has glowing red eyes, fire around its hooves, a spiked whip for a tail, the ability to fly, and is an intangible summon made of shadow.
• Invulnerable Horses: The shadow mount is intangible to all but Stan with attacks sliding harmlessly through it, but can be banished for the night by removing Stan from its back.
• Klingon Promotion: Dark Rider claimed the name by killing the previous Dark Rider, a rogue former KGB agent who once tried to poison the Gotham water supply.
• Red Eyes, Take Warning: Stan has red eyes when he's possessed by the Dark Rider, the red fades when Stan is in control.
• Technicolor Magic: Dark Rider's lance and its ranged attacks glow with purple mystic energy.

Tapeworm

A villain Tim first encounters in Bludhaven. He later joins Dodge's gang in Gotham to try and get revenge for his previous defeat at the young hero's hands.

• Detachable Lower Half: Tapeworm can leave behind part or all of the flat segmented tail he has in place of legs and just regrow it.
• Dirty Coward: Tapeworm pretty much never fights alone and is quick to turn tail and run if it even looks like the fight isn't going to go his way.
• Evil Smells Bad: Pretty much every hero that has to fight Tapeworm comments on how terrible he smells.
• Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain: Tapeworm is only good at being hard to keep hold of, and the first time he picked a fight with Robin he was trying to get Robin to release a friend of his, that unknown to Tapeworm had been killed by Ragman.
• Snake People: He's got a tail in place of legs.

Redback Spider

An assassin that Tim fends off in Bludhaven.

• Arachnid Appearance and Attire: She's got a mask that makes it look like she has six eyes and a spider and web design on her bodysuit.
• Expy: Redback's costume looks an awful lot that like a certain heroic Marvel web-slinger.
• Form-Fitting Wardrobe: While her costume doesn't partake in the usual logic defying vacuum packed aesthetics of most women's costumes in comics (that is it doesn't look like it's been superglued to her breasts or is just body paint) it's still a form fitting bodysuit.
• Goggles Do Nothing: The extra two sets of goggles lenses that don't cover her eyes don't appear to have any use outside of giving her a spider-like aesthetic.
• Only Known by Their Nickname: Her given name isn't in the Bat's database so she's only known as Redback.
• Poisoned Weapons: Her "fighting needles" can kill with a poke.
• Super Wrist-Gadget: Her wrist mounted venomous needles.

Dodge

Michael Lasky

An untrained kid who wanted to partner up with Robin. Despite Robin's attempts to keep him out of harm’s way his teleportation belt was damaged when he interfered in a hostage situation Tim was trying to deal with. The feedback knocked him into a coma and when he woke he was a changed man.

• Broken Pedestal: How he feels about Robin after getting injured while interfering when Robin was trying to save some kidnaped people. Or possibly once he had powers he just decided it would be more fun to fight Robin than join him.
• Convenient Coma: Not so much. Robin visits him in the hospital daily due to feeling guilty about his condition and when he wakes he runs off to become a supervillain.
• Disproportionate Retribution: He got injured interfering while Robin was trying to save some kidnapping victims instead of being able to team up with Robin so he decides to start selling drugs that turn those who take them into superpowered murderers in hopes that it will get Robin's attention and he can beat him in a fight.
• Evil Is Petty: He chose to be a villain after Robin tried to keep him out of the fight and rejected his help as a hero for his own safety. Of course he was already a thief.
• Face–Heel Turn: After his coma he turns from a wannabe superhero to a strangely red skinned supervillain hoping for a battle with Robin.
• Gadgeteer Genius: His father is one who works for Star Labs. This is how he stole his teleportation belt.
• In the Hood: His blue hoodie with Dodge embroidered across the chest.
• I Just Want to Be Special: He wants to be a superhero or villain, it doesn't seem like much of a jump for him.
• Never Found the Body: He presumably disintegrated in the reaction between his powers and Cheater's teleportation tech, but his missing body makes Tim hold out hope he is alive.
• Never My Fault: He ended up in the hospital due to his own actions, not Robin's.
• Redemption Equals Death: He ends up saving Robin from Cheater as his final act.
• The Resenter: Becomes one for Robin after his coma.
• The Team Wannabe: He seeks to join Robin but lacks some necessary attributes.
• Teleporter Accident: How he gains his superpowers. Also how he apparently dies.
• Villain Teleportation: After he wakes from his coma he has internalized the teleportation powers from the belt.

Cheater

• Hologram: Tricks Robin with a holographic version of himself.
• I Have Your Wife: Uses this to blackmail Dodge into continuing to work with the gang after he takes over.

  Robin: You sound so shocked…I wouldn’t have expected that from someone who himself the Cheater!

A chaos cult kidnaping teenagers in Gotham. While Tim was already investigating them the cult really drew his ire when they attacked during his first date with Bernard and abducted him.

• Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: The Chaos monsters (which are just cultists in masks) occasionally perform feats that make Tim question if they're more than human.
• Religion of Evil: The Children of Dionysus are a Gotham based cult that is enamored with Dionysus' chaos aspect and kidnaps teenagers to beat them and then cut out their hearts in human sacrifices. They notably only kidnap teens who are caught asking questions about them.
• Targeted Human Sacrifice: The Children of Dionysus are kidnapping teenagers who are at odds with or distant from their parents and who are questioning themselves and their place in the world with the intent to sacrifice them on an altar. Not only does this mean that there is a push to label their victims runaways the "chaos" of their minds as they are not settled in what they are and want to be is attractive to the cult which worships chaos.

Lady Shiva

Sandra Wu-San

A mercenary and one of Tim's martial arts mentors, who promises to come by for a duel to the death after she has finished training him. Shiva took Tim as a student with the intention of corrupting his purpose and making him a killer; his manner of avoiding doing so where he left King Snake to her mercy while the man was dangling from a skyscraper and she was likely to kill him left her amused. She is considered among the best Badass Normal martial artists on earth and is dedicated to finding a worthy opponent to take her place at the top.

Ra's al Ghul

The Demon's Head (Ra's al Ghul)

The ancient founder and leader of the League of Assassins he took an interest in Tim's search for Bruce after the later was declared dead by the Justice League forcing three of his assassins ("Z" Washington, Pru and Owens) on Tim as "help" wether he wanted them or not. He used this connection to request Tim's assistance with the annoyance the Council of Spiders was being for him and provided Tim with a suspiciously high clearance into the League's database along with control over a fair number of his ninja. The move was questioned by even Ra's most loyal followers, and Tim himself though Ra's proved to have already outwitted the Spider's attempt to assassinate himself.

Ra's eventually conferred on Tim the title of Detective, which he previously used only for Batman, after Tim turned down his recruitment attempts and used the information he had learned against Ra's.

Talia al Ghul

Vanguard of the Demon

The daughter of Ra's al Ghul in high standing within the League, though not in the line of succession as Ra's is an old fashioned fellow who wants a male successor, partially because when Ra's says "successor" he means new body for himself. Talia is Bruce's former lover and mother of Damian. While Talia never attacks Tim directly she spends quite a lot of time instilling hatred in him in others before losing them on Gotham, most notably Damian and Jason.

Mysterious Cloaked Lady/Sister of The Demon's Head

Ra's al Ghul's half-sister of unknown age who is directed to Tim by her brother in order to make an heir with him after Tim proves himself by surviving the gauntlet of secret tests Ra's set for him.

Promise

"Daughter of Acheron"

A Russian woman out for revenge for her brother's death. At first she seems like a potential ally but her sense of duty to her "family" makes her far more dangerous than it first appears as she is also the "sister" by pact of Ra's al Ghul's unnamed half-sister.

King Snake

Sir Edmund Dorrance

A blind British drug kingpin with contacts throughout Asia and South America, he served as the main villain of much of Robin's solo series. A master martial artist, King Snake frustrated Tim for years before being killed by his own son, Bane.

• Absurdly Youthful Father: He's supposed to be Bane's father but doesn't look a day older than him.
• Arch-Enemy: The first for Tim Drake.
• Aristocrats Are Evil: "Sir Edmund Dorrance" if you please.
• Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: Oh so much. And whenever he seems to display a twisted version of Honor Before Reason, it's because of his pride as this character trope.
• Bad Boss: Edmund is a racist jerk who beats and murders his male underlings for failures, no matter how minor. Women working under him are maimed instead.
• Big Bad: Of the Robin mini-series. Tim's training gets derailed by a man hunting King Snake for revenge, and Tim ends up traveling to Hong Kong to fight Dorrance. Dorrance manages to survive the encounter, despite Shiva stepping in and considering killing him, and is a thorn in Tim's side until his own son tracks him down and kills him.
• Blind Weaponmaster: With the weapon in question being his own hands.
• Clipped-Wing Angel: Funnily enough, getting his eyesight back ends up doing this to him: it throws him off long enough that Tim actually holds him off for a while.
• Disability Superpower: King Snake frequently used his blindness as an asset, ambushing people in the dark or knocking out sources of light.
• Evil Brit: A British ex-pat.
• Handicapped Badass: King Snake's blindness never seemed to slow him down.
• Killed Off for Real: After Bane threw him off a mountain, King Snake never returned.
• Mighty Whitey: A villainous example.
• Parental Abandonment: Left Bane to rot in a Santa Priscan prison while he made his escape.
• Politically Incorrect Villain: King Snake tried to slaughter the populace of Hong Kong rather than let it be returned to China, believing that everything great about the city came by way of Britain.
• Small Parent, Huge Child: He's not necessarily a small man, as he's roughly the same size as Batman. But his son, Bane, absolutely towers above him, with or without the venom.
• Snakes Are Evil: Invoked by his chosen name and large snake tattoo.
• Tattooed Crook: Has a large snake tattooed on his stomach and chest
• The Triads and the Tongs: King Snake seized control of the crime in Gotham's Chinatown, bringing the Triads and Tongs alike under his control.
• Villainous Lineage: Turns out that during his early days as a mercenary, King Snake had an affair with a Santa Priscan rebel fighter. Years later, Bane comes calling.^note Though being forced to literally serve his father's prison sentence since BIRTH in one of the nastiest prisons in the DC Universe might also have something to do with it.
• Villainous Valor: To his credit, he's quite capable of fighting pretty much all the Ghost Dragons when Lynx I initiatives an Enemy Civil War where he's all by himself.
• Walking Shirtless Scene: In the interest of showing off his enormous chest tattoo.
• You Have Failed Me: To his previous second in command for the Ghost Dragons.

Lynx I

Lynx (Ling)

Initially the girlfriend of the leader of the Ghost Dragons when her boyfriend is killed by King Snake for failing to kill Robin she inherits his position as head of the gang.

• Back for the Dead: She is killed shortly after being resurrected.
• Back from the Dead: She was raised by the League of Assassins after being decapitated. It didn’t last long.
• Conspicuous Gloves: Always wearing red gloves regardless of weather. As a criminal at least this will help her not leave fingerprints.
• Dressing as the Enemy: After her second death she is dressed up like Batgirl to frame Robin for Batgirl’s murder.
• Enemy Mine: During Batman: No Man's Land while her Ghost Dragons are controlling a segment of the city she teams up with Batman to put an end to a child kidnapping and slavery ring.
• Eyepatch of Power: Following the Eye Scream mentioned below.
• Eye Scream: After she fails to kill Robin King Snake decides not to kill her like he did her boyfriend, instead he punishes her by ripping out one of her eyes.
• Frame-Up: She is murdered by Evil Cass to frame Robin for murder.
• Killed Off for Real: Evil Cass kills her after she is raised from the dead to use her body to frame Robin for murder.
• The Leader: After an attempted Klingon Promotion by starting a mutiny in retaliation for King Snake killing one of the Triads which causes her to finally have had enough of answering to him. He ends up in prison beyond her reach and she ends up as the sole leader of the Ghost Dragons anyway.
• Leotard of Power: She wears a red strapless leotard.
• Off with Her Head!: She ends up decapitated.
• Painted-On Pants: What she wears underneath her leotard.
• The Starscream: Decides to take out King Snake and replace him.
• Unwanted Assistance: She is killed accidentally by one of her men when he tries to assist her in her in a fight with Batgirl.
• Villainesses Want Heroes - Was presented as a potential love interest for a brief while, until she quickly betrays Tim and loses an eye as punishment when he escapes.

Lynx III

The new leader of the Golden Dragons, the third Lynx is a teenage girl from Hong Kong with a clear interest in Tim. She claims to be an undercover cop, trained for the job since she was fourteen, though Tim remains unsure.

• Ambiguously Evil: Unlike the first and second Lynx, it is unclear whether Lynx III is a villain or actually an undercover cop.
• Dark Action Girl: She's far more dangerous than Tim originally expected her to be.
• Dating Catwoman: Invoked by Batman in a conversation with Tim.
• Distracted by the Sexy: She managed to shut off Tim's inner monologue with an accidental Double Entendre.
• Expy: She's Catwoman with a Chinese Race Lift. Batman and Red Robin both comment on this.
• Femme Fatale: An attractive crime lord who spends a lot of time flirting with the local hero near her own age. Tim's left uncertain if she's a criminal or undercover cop and ends up freeing her from GCPD custody in a gamble.
• The Infiltration: She claims to be infiltrating the Ghost Dragons on behalf of the police back in Hong Kong.
• Running Gag: Most of Tim's love interests will at some point try and attack him. She tackles him out a window, then starts making out with him in free fall.

The Council of Spiders

A group of killers gathered by The Wanderer to hunt challenging prey after the League of Assassins tries to recruit her and she decides it would be more fun to kill them instead as such a group would be much more of a challenge than her victims to that point.

• Blood Knight: The biggest distinction between them and the League of Assassins is their overwhelming desire to find challenging opponents.
• Evil Minions: A group of murderers and assassins who kill for fun and allow their targets to be directed by higher ups.
• Hunting the Most Dangerous Game: They were all recruited by being promised more challenging targets for their murder sprees.
• Murder, Inc.: The organization makes money by killing for hire.
• Only Known by Their Nickname: With the exception of The Wanderer, the names of the other members are never mentioned.
• Standard Evil Organization Squad: A group of very dangerous Spider Themed villains who were introduced as a mysterious threat, though they devolved into a Nebulous Evil Organisation when brought into other bat-books.

Vitoria

As a child she ran into the forest to escape the abuse she faced in her little Brazilian village and fell into a pit where she was repeatedly bitten by the deadly wanderer spider. Instead of killing her it altered her to be as poisonous as itself. As an adult she has been gathering like minded killers into The Council of Spiders.

• Bad Powers, Bad People: She's a serial killer with a deadly poisonous touch.
• Big Bad: Leader of The Council of Spiders who she has turn their sights to Tim after he seems to prove a more worthy target than the League of Assassins. Of course Ra's is ultimately much more dangerous for Tim and the Spiders are unable to even touch him.
• Creepy Child: In her backstory after being bit by the wanderer
• The Dog Bites Back: After her transformation she returns to the village and kills her tormentors.
• Enfant Terrible: After her trip to the forest.
• Hunting the Most Dangerous Game: Her desire to hunt more challenging prey led her to turning down the League of Assassins' attempt to recruit her in order to hunt them instead.
• Matricide: Whatever is was that changed after she fell into the pit in the forest caused her to go home and intentionally kill her single mother.
• Poisonous Person: After her trip into the jungle.
• Stripperiffic: With her power set and goals it would make more sense to wear even less clothing than she does if it's not for armor.
• Touch of Death: Her skin carries the poison of the Brazilian Wandering Spider.
  • Kiss of Death: She likes to use her abilities this way.
• Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Multiple homicide qualifies her.
• Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Her trip into the jungle changed her.
• We Need a Distraction: Turned Red Robin’s attempt to capture one of them for questioning into a diversion to empty out and weaken the defenses to invade the League of Assassins' base.

Funnel

A maker of difficult to trace poisons who was already hunting down League members before Vitoria recruited her to the Council of Spiders.

• Finger-Licking Poison: Kills a member of the League of Assassins by poisoning the cross on his necklace that she knows he kisses before a kill.

• Perfect Poison: She makes designer poisons.

Widower

While hunting the the League of Assassins he killed Owens and "Z" and seriously injured Tim and Pru, leaving them for dead. After rescue and emergency surgery by the League they instead loose their spleen and larynx respectively.

• Depending on the Artist: Just how human or not their mouth is is subject to change with the artist, though it usually keeps at least some spider bits to the side no matter who is drawing them.

• Monstrous Mandibles: Goliath has a spider inspired mouthparts with chelicerae and pedipalps in the place of a more human mouth.
• Multi-Armed and Dangerous: They have six arms.
• Nigh-Invulnerability: Has increased durability, it is unknown if it reaches Super-Toughness levels, they shrugs off having a cave collapse on top of him.
