In her causal attire

Voiced by: Kotone Ayakura (comic dubs, Japanese)
The dragonborn king/queen of the Demon Kingdom, and archenemy-turned-wife of the Hero.
  • Aggressive Submissive: Alvida is usually hot-headed, boisterous and slightly mischievous, but when it comes to romance and especially sexual affairs, she is easily flustered and demure, often letting the Hero take both the initiative and lead (though she can just as quickly take charge herself on occasion).
  • Amazonian Beauty: Alvida is a muscular woman with an impressive sixpack. Her husband finds her very attractive.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: Alvida feels this way about her ability to morph her arm into a dragon's claw. Sure, it looks impressive, but it places a massive drain on her mana and there's only so many things you can do with a limb that's longer than your entire body.
  • Battle Couple: During her brief time with the adventuring party, Alvida often fought monsters alongside the Hero.
  • Becoming the Mask: She planned on taking advantage of her nuptials to murder the Hero. She just didn't count on actually starting to like him enough to marry and start a family with him...
Alvida, 1 week later: (internally as she and Hero are battling a monster) I'll kill you!
Alvida, 2 weeks later: (internally, as she and Hero ride together on horseback, both blushing) Kill you!
Alvida, 1 month later: (internally, and blushing again, on her wedding day) Kill you!
Alvida: (internally, as Hero is making love to her on their wedding night) Kill you!!
  • BFS: She wielded a massive zweihander during her brief time as a member of the Hero's party. She uses it again in a later comic to kill the Hero after he caught her sniffing his clothes.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: The very idea of the Hero cheating on her clearly drives her up the wall, causing her to commit rather comically drastic actions to see for herself how faithful her husband is.
  • Covert Pervert: One episode shows that Alvida engages in Perverted Sniffing of the Hero's clothes when he's not around. When he catches her in the act, she gets so embarrassed that she tries to kill him in a Murder-Suicide.
  • Cute Monster Girl: She's a dragonborn demon, complete with red skin and horns, and she's quite easy on the eyes. The Hero finds her attractive, at least.
  • Doting Parent: Based on her interactions with Zenith (that don't involve accidentally scaring her), Alvida clearly loves and adores her children.
  • Draconic Humanoid: Alvida is a "dragonborn" demon, which not only explains her horns and tail but also grants her dragon-like abilities such as breathing fire and sprouting wings to fly. She even explains to Hero in "Demon King GF 7" that her people had the power to fully turn into dragons but it became a lost magic over 500,000 years ago after the last one was born with that ability. That said, she can give her arm a gigantic draconic form, but it risks draining her mana.
  • Housewife: Alvida handles most of the cooking and cleaning in the castle, especially since the Hero isn't very capable at doing such things himself.
  • In Love with the Mark: She secretly planned on killing the Hero once and for all during their early courtship. Once she got to know him better and experience his good nature, she ends up truly falling for him and finally gave up on her plan once Zenith was born.
  • Interspecies Romance: It takes a while, but she eventually falls in love with and marries a human man.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While she's still quite hot-tempered, haughty and sometimes devious, becoming a wife and mother has clearly softened her up a bit.
  • Mama Bear: Alvida is fiercely protective toward her children, something even the Hero learns the hard way when he told Zenith she was getting too old (and too big) to sleep in her parents' bed and accidentally made her cry.
Alvida: (giving Hero a fiery punch in the face) THE HELL YOU DOING TO MY DAUGHTER YOU BASTARD!!!!
  • Maou the Demon King: A rare female example, being a demonic overlord who takes her cues from Japanese fantasy, as well as being referred to as a "king" despite her sex.
  • Mayfly–December Romance: Being a demon, Alvida's lifespan is clearly greater than her human husband's; in the first comic's final pages, set 70 years later, Alvida has barely aged while the Hero is visibly in his twilight years.
  • Ms. Fanservice: A buxom demon woman introduced in skimpy armor, along with being positively jacked with her abs being emphasized.
  • Playing with Fire: She can breathe fire and emit flames from her hands.
  • Reformed, but Not Tamed: Downplayed; while she no longer plans to kill the Hero after marrying and starting a family with him, Alvida still desires to conquer the Human Kingdom and is quite fiery and malevolent.
  • She Is the King: Alvida is exclusively called the "Demon King" and appeared to be the only ruler in her kingdom prior to getting married to the Hero. PeaCh88 himself stated that the title of "Demon King" is given to any demon who has the highest level, regardless of gender. However, some later comics has Alvida be referred to as "Demon Queen" while others go back to "Demon King".
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: It's pretty clear throughout the comic that Alvida fell for the Hero, enough that she gradually abandoned her plot to kill him, due to his kind, supportive nature.
  • Slasher Smile: She's prone to make these from time to time, especially when plotting something devious. This proves to be an issue in the second comic, where her infant daughter cries in fear whenever she sees her mother make those kinds of faces.
Shizu: (reading the note Hero left for Alvida) "GTG! Be back in a few days. Love u! PS: Please stop making scary faces in front of the baby, she'll cry."
  • Stripperiffic: Alvida's default outfit consists of a metal bra and thong with bracers and boots, fur-lined cape optional.
  • Super-Strength: While it doesn't come up that often, Alvida is superhumanly strong. There's a strip which shows her working out in her castle's gym, with her lifting a barbell whose weights are larger than her entire body and so heavy that dropping them on the floor makes the whole room shake.
  • Token Evil Teammate: She briefly joined the Hero and his party on their adventures during their early courtship, especially when she was still secretly planning to kill him. She joins them again in Part 7, but under the disguise of "Deus, Sword of the Underworld" so she can see if Hero is cheating on her during his quests.
  • Tsundere: She's the tsun type; she's harsh and bad-tempered, but has a sweet side to her.
  • Villains Want Mercy: This was partially how her relationship with the Hero began; facing no other option after nearly being defeated by him and his party, Alvida begged for mercy and promised never to trouble the human kingdom again. Of course, she was merely taking advantage of the Hero's kindness and, when he decided to spare her, planned on killing him once again. Of course, she didn't expect him to throw in a marriage proposal as a condition to his mercy...
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Played for Laughs. One strip reveals that Alvida has an intense fear of bugs. The mere sight of a cockroach makes her flip out, and after spectacularly failing to blast the bug into oblivion with her Breath Weapon, she resorts to climbing up a very tall pillar to get away from it.

In his Hero attire

In his casual attire

Voiced by: AJ Sparkx (comic dubs, Japanese)
A nerdy young man who reincarnated in a fantasy world and was sent by the Human Kingdom to be their Hero. He is Alvida's archenemy-turned-husband.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: Gender-Inverted; he's in love with the devious and tempestuous Demon King Alvida, who originally planned on killing him and take over the Human Kingdom.
  • Bare-Handed Blade Block: In one episode, the Hero manages to stop Alvida from murdering him with a BFS by catching the blade between his palms.
  • Battle Couple: He and Alvida used to fight monsters together during her brief time with the adventuring party.
  • Covert Pervert: In the NSFW comics, he is shown having a high sex drive and always takes the initiative when being intimate with Alvida. Indeed, when Alvida reads his mind using a magic necklace, he constantly feels horny for his wife whenever he has to go on long quests. It's quite a far cry from the awkward, nerdy Nice Guy who's often henpecked by his wife outside the bedroom.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Nobody ever calls the Hero by his real name; they just call him Hero.
  • Geek Physiques: He's quite tall and lanky, but still pretty strong despite it.
  • Henpecked Husband: While both are no doubt Happily Married, it's quite clear Alvida wears the pants in the relationship (outside the bedroom, that is) and Hero always fears getting her even slightly upset.
  • Interspecies Romance: He's a human who fell in love with and married the dragonborn Alvida.
  • Lovable Nerd: He's generally a Nice Guy, if a tad socially awkward and easily excitable.
  • Mayfly–December Romance: In the final pages of the first comic, set 70 years later, the Hero is visibly elderly while his wife Alvida has barely aged a day.
  • Nice Guy: Despite his own faults and quirks, the Hero is ultimately a sweet, kind man who's very loyal and deeply in love with his wife, despite her being the literal Demon King, and is a loving father to his children.
  • No Name Given: He's not known by any name besides "Hero".
  • One Head Taller: He is noticeably taller than his wife Alvida, who only reaches his cheek.
  • Opaque Nerd Glasses: Sports a pair of these, though we do briefly see what his eyes look like in the third comic.
  • Reincarnate in Another World: He was once a denizen from our world before presumably dying and reincarnating in the fantasy world. The exact details of how he died, reincarnated and made a hero are unclear.
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Hero only has eyes for Alvida, and only exposes his more perverted side to her. It's something she learns the hard way after receiving a mind-reading necklace out of paranoia over him possibly cheating on her during his quests.
Alvida (internally) Fufu... Now let's hear what you really think you bastard!! (activates necklace)
Hero's Thoughts: UOOHHH!!! MY WIFE LOOKS AS CUTE AND SEXY AS EVER!!
    Alvida: Eh?!
Hero's Thoughts: I've been holding in in for weeks!! Not being able to see her is torture!!!
  • The Shut-In: Implied to have been one in his past life; in the third comic, the Hero mentions that all he did back in his old world was "eat, sleep and work at [his] small apartment" which explains why he's still a bit of slob in the world he currently resides in.
  • Stronger Than They Look: The Hero looks like a skinny nerd, but he is still a powerful warrior who regularly fights and defeats monsters and had almost defeated Alvida at the start of the comic before she started pleading for mercy.
  • Token Human: He's the only human member of his adventuring party, whose other members are two elves, a dwarf, Alvida (a draconic demon) and a half-orc.

    Zenith

As a baby

As a child
Click to see her as a pre-teen (SPOILERS)

Voiced by: Kotone Ayakura (comic dubs, Japanese)
Alvida and Hero's half-human/half-demon daughter.
  • Daddy's Girl: She clearly seems to get along better with the Hero than Alvida.
  • Draconic Humanoid: She's half-dragonborn on her mother's side.
  • Early Installment Character-Design Difference: The first comic depicted her at age fourteen with proportions of a typical teenage girl, before it was later established that she was enormous even by age eleven.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: She's the product of a union between a demon and a human.
  • Hybrid Power: "Demon King GF 7" has her become the first dragonborn in 500,000 years to turn into a full-blown dragon, far surpassing her mother who's a full-blood dragonborn. And she did it through sneezing.
  • Morality Pet: Zenith is practically the biggest reason why Alvida finally gave up on her plan to kill the Hero.
  • Not So Stoic: There are moments where Zenith makes expressions outside her usual bored look, like whenever she gets spooked by her mom making Slasher Smiles (often to the point of tears when she was an infant) and getting worried over her dad Giving Up the Ghost due to Alvida blowing him a kiss.
  • Patchwork Kids: She has her mother's red-bronze skin and bright red eyes and her father's black hair. The color of her horns and tail match the Hero's skin color as opposed to being black like Alvida's.
  • Playing with Fire: Shares her mom's fire-breathing ability but, due to being a child, can only puff out small flames.
  • Rapid Aging: The beginning of "Demon King GF 7" has Alvida and the Hero discuss how fast she's been growing compared to normal children her age, which would explain how she later becomes rather adult-looking in her pre-teens.
  • Rubber Orifice: In "Demon King GF 6.5 (2)", Alvida and the Hero take her to a McDonald's-style restaurant, where her mom tries to feed her a big hamburger. Hero doesn't think the burger will fit in Zenith's mouth, only for her to elongate it open and eat the whole thing in one bite.
  • Small Parent, Huge Child: Zenith towers over her parents by the time she's eleven years old, to the point where the Hero's head is barely above her waist.
  • The Stoic: Zenith never shows much on her face outside of a blank, bored expression.
  • Tears of Fear: Zenith as a baby used to cry a lot whenever she caught her mother flashing a Slasher Smile.
  • Weredragon: She has the ability to fully transform into a dragon, the first dragonborn to do so in eons.
  • Younger Than They Look: An extra comic shows that Zenith becomes a borderline Amazonian Beauty at just 11 years old. Part 7 implies that she's younger than even her current physical age as a child.
Hero: Is it me, or has she been growing faster than a normal child her age?
Alvida: Yea... her horns and tail has developed much faster than I imagined.

    Shizu

Voiced by: Nanako Ohara (comic dub for episodes 2 and 5, Japanese), ema (comic dub for episode 4, Japanese)
Alvida's bunny-girl maid.
  • Little Bit Beastly: She has rabbit ears and a rabbit's nose, but otherwise doesn't look too different from even other humans.
  • Meido: We don't see her do much housekeeping duties outside of helping her master look after Zenith, but she is always by Alvida's side and is implied to have served under her since childhood.
  • Scars Are Forever: She has a long scar over her right eye, along with some scars on her forearms.

    Luciel

Voiced by: Himeno Tsubasa (comic dub, Japanese)
A demon witch who provides Alvida with enchanted objects.

Other Characters

    The Hero's Party
Terra voiced by: Kanako Amari (comic dubs, Japanese)
Hero's questing party, consisting of Terra, an elf wizard, Gandor, a dwarf cleric and an unnamed elf priest. They would later be joined by Rigar, a half-orc monk.
  • The Bus Came Back: The party makes their return in comic 11 after only appearing once in the very first comic.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: The male elf priest is noticeably absent in "Demon Queen Wife 11" even as the original two members return. His place is now seemingly taken by Rigar.
  • Dull Surprise: Terra spends the remainder of the first comic displaying a look of blank shock at Alvida and the Hero together, even during their wedding day.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: The male elf and Gandor both cry buckets during the Hero and Alvida's wedding.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: Even after many years, Terra is still not happy about the Hero marrying Alvida.
Terra: It's been a while Hero, you traitor!
Hero: Terra, you're still calling me that?
Terra: Of course!! You married the Demon Queen! THE Demon Queen!
  • The Smurfette Principle: Terra was the only female member of the Hero's party before Alvida came along.
  • Two Girls to a Team: Alvida and Terra to the party once the former joined them for a brief time.
