See weather in other locations on Apple Watch

In addition to seeing local weather, you can see the weather conditions and forecasts for other locations.

Add a location

  1. Go to the Weather app on your Apple Watch.

  2. Tap the List button, scroll to the bottom of the list of locations, then tap the Add button.

  3. Enter the location name.

  4. Tap Search, then tap the location name in the list of results.

The list of locations on your Apple Watch is synced with the list on your iPhone. See Check the weather in other locations on iPhone in the iPhone User Guide.

Choose your default location

The conditions for the default location are shown in any weather complications you’ve added to the watch face.

  1. Go to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone.

  2. Tap Weather, tap Default City, then choose a city.

  1. Go to the Weather app on your Apple Watch.

  2. Tap the List button, then choose a location.

Get rain alerts for remote locations

When you have appointments at locations within 150 miles, Apple Watch can notify you about rain at those remote locations so you can plan accordingly.

  1. Go to the Calendar app on your Apple Watch.

  2. Add an appointment and include the location address.

    If precipitation is forecast at this location as the appointment time nears, the Precipitation widget appears in the Smart Stack.

  3. Tap the Precipitation widget to see detailed weather information, including hourly forecasts.

See the weather forecast for a trip

When you add trips to Calendar with location details, the Smart Stack automatically shows a 5-day weather forecast for your destination.

  1. Go to the Calendar app on your Apple Watch.

  2. Add an event and include the destination location.

    As your trip approaches, the Trip widget appears in the Smart Stack.

  3. Open the Smart Stack and scroll to the 5-day weather forecast for your destination.

  4. Tap the Trip widget to see detailed weather information, including hourly forecasts.

Remove a location

  1. Go to the Weather app on your Apple Watch.

  2. Tap the List button, swipe left on the location you want to remove, then tap the Delete button.

Your list of locations stays up to date across your devices when youʼre signed in to the same Apple Account.
