Use Focus filters in Calendar on Mac

You can select which calendars appear and send you notifications, based on your current Focus. For example, you can set a filter to show only your Work calendar when your Work Focus is on.

Open Calendar for me

Set a Calendar Focus filter

  1. Go to the System Settings app on your Mac.

  2. Click Focus in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

  3. Click a Focus on the right, then click Add Filter below Focus Filters. See Set up a Focus.

  4. Click Calendar, select one or more calendars, then click Add.

Temporarily turn off your Calendar Focus filter

You can temporarily turn off a Calendar Focus filter when a Focus is on.

  1. Go to the Calendar app on your Mac.

  2. Click Turn Off next to Filtered by Focus.

  3. To turn the Calendar Focus filter back on, click Turn On next to Focus Filter Off.

Remove a Calendar Focus filter

  1. Go to the System Settings app on your Mac.

  2. Click Focus in the sidebar. (You may need to scroll down.)

  3. Click a Focus on the right, then click Filter Calendars below Focus Filters.

  4. Click Delete App Filter, then click Delete Filter.
