Safari browsing management declarative configuration for Apple devices

Use the Safari browsing configuration to provide management of the Safari browsing experience on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro devices that enroll in a device management service.

Safari extensions enhance and customize the browsing experience on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. In iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS 26, visionOS 26, or later, so organizations can customize the browsing experience for their users. With the com.apple.configuration.safari.bookmarks and com.apple.configuration.safari.settings configuration, organizations can:

  • Configure bookmarks for Safari so users can easily access organization resources and websites. Bookmarks appear in a separate folder, and organizations can arrange individual bookmarks in subfolders to organize how they appear to the user.

  • Get more flexibility to customize the browsing experience by defining what users see when opening a new window or tab in Safari. For example, they might set the start page to the default Safari start page or a homepage that the organization defines, or allow a Safari extension to define a page to open.

  • Configure additional Safari functions to meet their needs.
