Channel Blur filter in Motion

Lets you apply a blur effect selectively to each color channel of a layer: red, green, blue, and alpha. Create custom glow effects that retain sharpness in selected channels while softening other channels.

Adjust this filter using the parameter controls in the Filters Inspector:

  • Amount: Sets the radius of the blur.

  • Blur Red: Sets the blur to affect the red channel.

  • Blur Green: Sets the blur to affect the green channel.

  • Blur Blue: Sets the blur to affect the blue channel.

  • Blur Alpha: Sets the blur to affect the alpha channel.

  • Horizontal: Sets the percentage of maximum horizontal blur. This is a percentage of the Amount parameter.

  • Vertical: Sets the percentage of maximum vertical blur.

  • Crop: Sets whether the image is cropped beyond its original borders.

  • 360° Aware: Eliminates seams created when the filter is applied to 360° media (in a 360° environment).

  • Mix: Sets the percentage of the original image that’s blended with the blurred image.
