Automatically zoom the Tracks area in Logic Pro for Mac

You can set the Tracks area to automatically zoom vertically or horizontally to fill the available space. When Vertical Auto Zoom is on, the Tracks area resizes when you add, duplicate, or delete tracks so that all tracks are visible, with no blank space.

Turn on Vertical Auto Zoom for the Tracks area

  • In Logic Pro, click the Vertical Auto Zoom button in the Tracks area menu bar.

    Waveform Zoom, Vertical Auto Zoom and Horizontal Auto Zoom controls in the Tracks Area menu bar.

    When turned on, the button is blue.

    To turn off automatic vertical zoom, click the button again.

Turn on Horizontal Auto Zoom for the Tracks area

  • In Logic Pro, click the Horizontal Auto Zoom button in the Tracks area menu bar.

    When turned on, the button is blue.

    To turn off automatic horizontal zoom, click the button again.
