Input settings in Logic Pro for Mac

Audio I/O Assignments Input settings let you map the input channels of your audio interface (where your surround microphones are connected) to the speaker positions of various surround formats. The Input pane consists of the following settings:

  • “Show as” pop-up menu: Choose a surround format to determine which of the 17 speaker position pop-up menus are available to be assigned to an input channel of the audio device. See Overview of surround formats.

  • Initialize buttons: Click one of the three buttons to determine a specific channel order (which input is assigned to which speaker position) for the surround format selected in the “Show as” pop-up menu.

  • Speaker position pop-up menus: Choose an input from the pop-up menu of each speaker position to match how the physical mic/line inputs in your surround setup are connected to individual input channels of your audio interface.
