Configure Beat Breaker randomization settings in Logic Pro for Mac
The Randomization menu lets you set probability and intensity values for each edit mode, and Output Beat individually.
Use the Mode pop-up menu to select the edit mode you want to configure, then adjust the controls below it. Probability determines the likelihood of any individual slice being randomized. Intensity determines how far values can deviate from their current position. For example, if a parameter is at 50% and Intensity is set to 50%, the randomized value falls between 25% and 75%.
Note: Randomized values respect the Snap settings in the More menu.
Configure parameters
Mode pop-up menu: Choose an edit mode to configure (Time, Repeats, Cutoff, Resonance, Volume, or Pan) or select Output Beat.
Randomize button: Randomize all slices for the selected mode according to the configured settings.
Clear All Values button: Reset every parameter of every slice for the selected mode back to its default value.
Time randomization controls
Input Beat Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Input Beat value for each slice.
Input Beat Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Input Beat value.
Speed Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Speed value for each slice.
Speed Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Speed value.
Curve Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Curve value for each slice.
Curve Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Curve value.
Repeat randomization controls
Repeat Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Repeat value for each slice.
Repeat value buttons (1–8): Select specific repeat values from being used during randomization. At least one value must be selected at all times.
Cutoff randomization controls
Filter Mode Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the filter type for each slice. When a slice is selected for randomization, the filter type is randomly set to either LP or HP.
Cutoff Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Cutoff value for each slice.
Cutoff Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Cutoff value.
Slope Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Slope value for each slice.
Slope Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Slope value.
Curve Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Curve value for each slice.
Curve Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Curve value.
Resonance randomization controls
Resonance Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Resonance value for each slice.
Resonance Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Resonance value.
Volume randomization controls
Volume Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Volume value for each slice.
Volume Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Volume value.
Slope Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Slope value for each slice.
Slope Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Slope value.
Curve Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Curve value for each slice.
Curve Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Curve value.

Pan Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Pan value for each slice.
Pan Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Pan value.
Slope Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Slope value for each slice.
Slope Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Slope value.
Curve Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Curve value for each slice.
Curve Intensity: Set the intensity of deviation applied to the Curve value.

Output Beat Probability: Set the probability of randomizing the Output Beat position for each slice.
