Arteris provides system IP for the acceleration of system-on-chip development. The company’s network-on-chip (NoC) interconnect IP and SoC integration technology enables flexibility for a variety of applications and markets, including AI, automotive, communications, consumer electronics, enterprise computing, and industrial.
Arteris was founded in France in February 2003 by Philippe Boucard, Alain Fanet and César Douady. K. Charles Janac has been the CEO of Arteris IP since 2005. In 2007, Arteris moved its headquarters from Paris, France to Silicon Valley.
In 2013, Qualcomm Incorporated acquired the Arteris FlexNoC and FlexLLI product lines, as well as the team developing the product. Arteris currently develops and supports non-coherent, cache-coherent, and last-level cache IP. The company also acquired SoC integration automation products with is acquisition of Magillem.
