RSF and all participating media outlets are demanding a response from the state commensurate with a level of violence that cannot be allowed to become the norm.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) contributed to Hungary’s public consultation on the future of its public service media.

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and the independent Myanmar media outlet Mizzima have joined forces to launch the “Voice of Independent Myanmar,” a shortwave radio broadcast aimed at providing vital information to the Myanmar public.

A coalition of more than 50 press freedom and human rights NGOs, led by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) and Safeguard Defenders (SD), is calling on the Thai authorities to refrain from forcibly returning detained Chinese journalist Bai Zhaodong to China.

Having observed during the mission that the signs of openness seen in January remain limited, uneven and reversible, RSF is calling on the authorities to turn these initial steps into lasting guarantees for the free practice of journalism.
