Follows the strange story of Chiaki, a daydreaming otaku who longs to confess her feelings to her childhood friend, Fumiko, and how that's made especially difficult when she gets transported to another world.
Dropping a lot of proper nouns here, but don't worry about not having context for them right now. You've heard a few of these words on earlier pages too, but like Chiaki, you wouldn't have any reason to know most of these yet. It's okay. It's just Chapter 1, after all. XD

Feigning amnesia's easy if you're trying to, say, pretend you forgot who you were, but trying to pretend you know jack shit about the world? No chance.
I think she might believe it it. Hard to say, but the amnesia thing doesn't seem to be completely effective either so let's hope that even if she doesn't believe, then maybe she'll assume that its a trauma thing.
I predict Nagisa will want evidence, see the virtual pet, and become determined to open a way back to Chiaki's world to get her own. It's clearly the only possible outcome.
Go, Chiaki! Show initiative! Take charge of your life! Aside from hitting your head and falling into a worldcoma, you're kinda hosed on that part.
It's good to have confirmation that the evil overlord was stopped by the anime heroine. But did Kaminari ever dream of being a high school girl who cried a lot and let's leave it at that?
Wait a second. Princess Kaminari? Honorary Lilim? Toria? These are names and terms Rain mentioned when talking about Black Wing Kaminari. So does this mean that Rain’s favorite manga series can be called a historical drama?
She's not good at pretending...no wonder her manga is a literal rip off of that time she hit her head and wound up in a new world. If she was a modern mangaka, that'd even be the name of it. XD
So she is just called Kaminari, the linguistic mysteries become more and more confusing...
Also since some people joke about her writing a rip-off manga, I think it does need to pointed out that since there is no way Chiaki is going to get all the intimate personal details of how the heroism of Princess Kaminari happened, she must still have a ton of creativity and writing ability to turn that into an engaging manga.
She just either
A) is really bad at coming up with original lore, or
B) feels compelled to turn her experiences in the otherworld into a story, overshadowing any desire to write something purely original.
The latter would suggest that she does end up stuck back in the real world and might need to process everything that happened / potentially does it as a way to cope with the loss.
Has anyone else noticed that both Rain and MIS started with "This character has a secret that they're trying to keep secret from everyone. And then that secret will get found out during the very first chapter hehe hoohoo"
I wonder if there might be a more believable hybrid explanation she could give. Like she's from another, relatively isolated, country in this world. The less knowledge she's expected to have about this world, the more believable it might be that amnesia made her forget it all.
Not saying she should lie to her new friends, but she might want to have a solid backup explanation for dealing with others.
So the story of Princess Kaminari is already over. Wonder what that means for Chiaki's adventure, maybe she won't head out on any adventure at all like she wanted, more slice-of-life stories at the Library.
Also, our girl is doing a very good thing by being honest right away. If there is someone who can accept her, it's Nagisa.
