Disable Twitch commercial break filtering? #6630
DescriptionIs there a switch to turn off the purple bump screen filtering on Twitch streams? I'm finding the experience pretty jarring when I can't tell the difference between when my stream is buffering/lost connection or when I'm in the middle of a commercial break. |

No, there is not, and this has been described in detail in the PR that made the filtering mandatory, the commit message of the merged commit, as well as Streamlink's docs:
Ad breaks as their durations are always logged by the Twitch plugin. |

Thank you for the quick and pertinent answer (and for everything you guys do ❤️ ) E: Taking a closer look at the experience, the overall stream playback seems more performant with the fragmented MPEG-4 transition, so it's certainly not all bad. I'll probably be better off with this tradeoff 🙂 |
