Hi! I'm Marek. I spend my time building open-source tools that solve specific "friction points" in the modern developer and data engineer’s workflow. My work focuses on making complex data formats and logic—like Parquet files, SVG generation, and time-handling—more accessible and intuitive.

My Main Projects

  • pink-parquet: A fast, user-friendly Parquet file viewer for Windows and macOS. I built this because exploring data shouldn't require writing a Python script every single time.
  • pyDreamplet: A Python library dedicated to assembling custom SVGs, bridging the gap between programmatic logic and visual representation.
  • carbonic: A modern, fluent API for Python datetimes, built on top of zoneinfo and designed for developers who value immutability and readability.
