Hi, I'm Koudai Aono, an OSS maintainer based in Tokyo. I build and maintain developer tools for Python teams.

My main projects:

  • datamodel-code-generator: 14M+ downloads per month on PyPI. Used by OpenAI Codex, Datadog, Apache Airflow, vLLM, PostHog, OpenTelemetry, and 10+ other projects.
  • fastapi-code-generator
  • PyCharm plugins for Pydantic, Ruff, and Poetry, with 1.2M+ installs in total

I also co-authored PEP 750 (template strings, Python 3.14).
