How it all started

I quit my retail job to go full-time indie on backend tools and identity systems.

Then my laptop died.

Since then I’ve been building the entire CLI and everything around it on my phone. It’s been chaotic, but I ship every day.

The CLI is 100% open source. The Identity Engine inside authenik8-core is closed-source for security reasons (I don’t want to hand attackers the exact playbook for token lifecycle and replay protection).
