Hello

Is it possible to disable the Tapo / Kasa device firmware from accessing the TP-Link Cloud?

I am attempting to use the Tapo S515 as a Local Only device.

When I block Internet access, using my firewall / router, to and from the Tapo S515 the led light on the switch turns ORANGE.

To me this indicates that the Tapo S515 has had its connection to a remote TP-Link server severed. Which is what I want however I do not want the switche's led to turn from white to orange in the process.

Afaik, there is no way to tell the device not to bind to the cloud, so the answer to your question is no. Some devices have configurable controls for leds, maybe the official app allows you to configure the device on this regard?
