Hi there, Here is exactly what is happening under the hood and how to get this resolved:
How to clear the loop right now
Regarding your Support Ticket (#4579733) Best of luck with your Copilot Max upgrade! I really hope your bank clears the authorization block quickly so you can get back to your workflow without any more hassles. Let us know how it goes! |

Update: I called my bank again, apparently the card alert you see on the top of the page has nothing to do with a 1 dollar authentication, I gave clear instructions to my bank to not et anything through other than the 1 dolar authentication untill this payment issue was solved so my bank is doing exactly as they were instructed. Github is NOT trying to authentica my card they are trying to charge me for overusage during my pro + subscription, which was all cleared by me before I subscribed for copilot max and succesfully paid for it. So this whole mess clearly needs t o be sorted on the end of github. Its also been 4 days since pening the ticket still no reply from githubs end. |

For the past week or so I have been fighting for my life on Github because your system keeps saying there is a problem with my card, I have used 2 debit cards, initially with the payments during signup there was no problem but when it came to upgrading to GitHub Copilot Max its then I started getting an alert that the payment was declined. Which is impossible because my bank account has always sufficient funds, if you look at my payment history you will notice payments upon overusage, if there was no funds I would not have been able to perform those as well. A couple of days ago my Github copilot account got disabled or blocked for the same reason, no valid payment it said and no way to see what I would need to pay or no alert whatsoever to lead mo to make a payment just invalid payment method or something like that. The only page that showed me some sort of guidance was the page where you can set your payment method. Since you clearly had already saved my carddetails but would not accept my card even if I refreshed it I had to actually go to my bank and ask them for a new card. Thankfully they did but imagine the hassle I had to go through in between my work for a mere payment of 61 dollars!!! Then I used those card details here on github, voila you deducted the money from my bank and my copilot enabled itself after clearing the payment. Then 3 days ago I received a new alert that says increase your budget to keep using copilot, instead of increasing my alert I thought it would be better to signup for GitHub Copilot Max, pushed the payment button and once again it says Payment didn't go through...
We couldn't process your payment. Please try again. This time for the new card I saved!! Immidetaly I checked my account, understand also that both cards are not credit cards but debit cards! Wich means the payments take place real time with no reserved funds issue. I used my mobie bank app to trace the payment and yup, the payment went through, I then went to my github payment history, and it clearly showss a payment AND invoice for said payment. I cant keep going to the bank to issue out new cards each time, because of whatever issue your system clearly has, please ensure I get my new subscription enabled and also clear whatever blockage you have on my user account.
I dont understand why it takes 3 days or longer to get back to a ticket to get problems solved!
