We’re thrilled to share a new community workflow designed to help everyone give newcomers a heartfelt welcome. Starting today, our forum will automatically add a “Welcome 🎉” label to the very first post from recently joined members. It’s a simple way to spot someone new, say hello, and make sure they feel at home – whether they’re asking a question or raising a bug. Your friendly greetings and support help create the kind of community where everyone can feel valued from day one.

We all know that first impressions count. A warm reception can make all the difference for someone who’s just joined, shaping how they feel about participating and contributing. By taking a moment to say hello and offer encouragement, you’re helping to set the tone for a positive, inclusive community experience right from the start.

Whenever you see the Welcome 🎉 label on someone’s first post, feel free to greet them whilst replying. Interested in viewing all recently joined members together? Just use these filters in the search bar: is:open label:"Welcome 🎉" sort:date_created

Privacy matters too - if someone chooses to keep their profile private, their posts may not be labelled as a newcomer, and that’s absolutely fine. Lurkers are always welcome to read along at their own pace.

One last thing: we love sincere welcomes! We’re keen to avoid too many AI-generated greetings, so heartfelt and personal responses are especially appreciated. See our Code of Conduct for guidance.

We hope this is a truly welcome addition to the community. We’d love your input on how we can keep improving your experiences here - please comment below with suggestions or feedback. ❤️

This is a really nice addition to the community. A warm welcome can make a huge difference for new members, especially when they’re posting for the first time. I also appreciate the focus on genuine and personal interactions instead of automated replies. Looking forward to seeing the community become even more welcoming and supportive. ❤️
