🚀 Quick Start

1. Install Visual Studio Code

Install VS Code from https://code.visualstudio.com/ and (optionally) enable the code command via the Command Palette (Shell Command: Install 'code' command in PATH).

2. Install VSCode Now

  1. Download the app from the links above.
  2. Drag VSCode Now.app into /Applications/ or ~/Applications/.
  3. (Optional) Add it to your Dock or Finder toolbar for one-click access.

3. Launch Projects Instantly

  • Dock: Click once to reopen the last VS Code workspace.
  • Finder toolbar: Open any folder in Finder and press the toolbar icon to launch that directory in VS Code.
  • Terminal: Advanced users can run ./vscode-now.sh /path/to/project to open a specific folder.

🔧 System Requirements

  • macOS: 10.9 or newer
  • Apps: Visual Studio Code installed
  • Permissions: Allow VS Code to access the folders you open
