while opening the pr with the extract.betareg fix, i noticed all the github actions failed with variations on the same error:

The downloaded source packages are in
	‘/tmp/RtmpxWR0cC/downloaded_packages’
Error: Error in loadNamespace(x) : there is no package called ‘remotes’
Calls: saveRDS ... loadNamespace -> withRestarts -> withOneRestart -> doWithOneRestart
Execution halted
Error: Process completed with exit code 1.

i added the remotes package to the install step to resolve namespace error
