This is a script that will address what is described in Issue #95.

Looks like a good addition, I wonder if we could get the bootstrap to be a little smarter and not have pinned versions in it.

Also, i noticed that some files will get owned by the group wheel and installs will fail because of it. So it would be handy to add this to the script.

I never published my workaround because it's not polished enough but seeing other folks having the same issues made me think it might have some value.

I haven't even created a readme file but here's how i use the files at: https://github.com/elisiano/machine-setup

  • created/configure config.yml
  • source setup.sh
  • issue mac::setup the first time and mac::ensure-upstream/mac::apply on consecutive runs
