Welcome to re:wired, the reinvented wired Server.

WARNING:
This is a alpha release of the re:wired server software.
For now it is a almost feature complete wired v1 server without much error checking and testing!
You are encouraged to run the server in your terminal and report back any error it may encounter.
If you want to help please focus your testing on these parts of the server:
	Client compatibility
	User management
	File handling
	News handling

INSTALLATION
============
To install the re:wired server, you need the following prerequisites:

python >= 2.6
python sqlite3 bindings (usually distributed with python)
python M2Crypto
python dns

Install prerequisites on OS X (tested on Lion and Mountain Lion):

	sudo easy_install M2Crypto dnspython

Install prerequisites on debian based Linux distributions:

	sudo apt-get install python python-support python-m2crypto python-dnspython

To install the re:wired server follow these steps
1. Unpack the tar file to your desired location:
	tar -zxvf rewired-12345.tar.gz -C /opt/

2. Edit the servers config file:
	nano /opt/rewired/server.conf
	
	Make sure to correctly edit the values for:
		logFile
		fileRoot
		both values need to specify a absolute path for now.

3. Start the server in foreground mode (recommenced):
	python /opt/rewired/server.py

   You can also start the server as a system daemon:
   	/opt/rewired/rewiredctl start
   	
4. Log into the server with your wired Client
	The default logins are:
		admin/admin for the admin users
		guest with no password set for the guest User
   	
5. To stop your rewired server enter:
	/opt/rewired/rewiredctl stop
