Code of Conduct

Purpose

This document sets expectations for behavior across all repositories in this account. It applies to issues, pull requests, discussions, commit messages, and any other project space.

Expected behavior

  • Be respectful. Disagreements about technical decisions are normal and welcome; personal attacks are not.
  • Assume good faith. Most miscommunication is just miscommunication.
  • Give and accept constructive feedback gracefully.
  • Own your mistakes and learn from them.
  • Keep discussion focused on the work.

Unacceptable behavior

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination based on personal characteristics including (but not limited to) race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or religion.
  • Sexualized language, imagery, or unwelcome sexual attention.
  • Insulting or derogatory comments, including personal or political attacks unrelated to the work.
  • Publishing someone's private information without their explicit permission.
  • Sustained disruption of discussions or reviews.
  • Any other conduct a reasonable person would consider inappropriate in a professional setting.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies in all project spaces (repositories, issues, pull requests, discussions) and to anyone representing the project in public - for example, using a project email address or speaking on the project's behalf.

Enforcement

Maintainers are responsible for clarifying these standards and will take appropriate action in response to behavior they consider in violation, including warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans from project spaces. Maintainers may remove, edit, or reject contributions that don't align with this Code of Conduct.

Reporting

To report a violation, contact: contact@danielmiller.ca

Reports will be reviewed and handled with discretion. The privacy of the reporter will be respected.
