Pendant

Pendant logo

VS Code Extension for the Pi Agent.

Pendant brings Pi into VS Code and VSCodium as a simple, fast, and lightweight sidebar.

Pendant Cover

What it can do, in a nutshell

  • Bring your own Pi, or start immediately. Use the bundled runtime or connect Pendant to an existing pi or oh-my-pi (omp) setup.
  • Your Pi setup, ready to use. Load Pi skills and extensions, including native Q&A dialogs and extension-provided UI.
  • Bring real context into your work. Attach files, folders, editor selections, diagnostics, and Git state, with multi-root workspace awareness.
  • See what Pi is doing. Follow streaming tool calls, command output, diffs, Mermaid diagrams, MathJax, and plan or subagent progress. And much more, probably.
  • Stay in control of longer work. Keep persistent, pinnable sessions in the sidebar or editor tabs, steer or queue follow-ups, and edit or fork conversations from earlier messages.
  • Know what you have left. Check OpenAI Codex and Kimi usage limits, or your OpenRouter credit balance, directly in the chat.
  • Local all the way. Run fully offline with a local model and dictate on-device with whisper.cpp; your audio never leaves your machine.
  • Zero telemetry. Pendant collects no analytics, crash reports, prompts, code, files, audio, or diagnostic data. Any network requests go to the Pi runtime, model providers, or services you choose.
