I've heard about this but I've yet to find a clear answer anywhere, will I keep my keep my factory sounds, presets, etc when I install this firmware?

Edit: this is on the red sampler model

Since you are on sampler, you can skip step 1.

  1. If you have synth version you need to swap to the factory firmware of the sampler (red) version first.
  2. In your E2 export all samples to SD card, producing a file called e2Sample.all which contains all factory samples.
  3. On your computer, edit e2Sample.all using a program like Oe2sSLE so that the first sample starts at 501.
  4. Install hacktribe (don't worry about your patterns)
  5. After rebooting, go to the menu in your E2 and import all your edited factory samples.
  6. Here's the catch: Your patterns are still there, but they must be shifted so that they point to the first sample being 501 as well

If steps 2 and 3 are too hard, I'm sure on youtube ther…

Thanks mate, sorry for the probaly redundant question but I never really found a definitive answer.
