Thanks for providing this great piece of software!
I am trying to build a debian package for Eclipse SUMO which utilizes arrow/parquet. It seems to be hard to add additional package repositories during the automated build process provided by ubuntu launchpad or the open build service and they also do not allow to add prebuilt binary packages. Do you have any idea how I can make use of the already existing arrow packages while building the sumo packages or do I really have to rebuild them?

There are people who are trying to make the official Debian packages: https://salsa.debian.org/science-team/arrow/

How about contacting them?

If the official Debian repository has Apache Arrow packages, you can also use them on Ubuntu eveuntualy.
